In 42000, the suspension setup is known as pushrod suspension. It is found mostly in race cars and allows you to move the center of gravity of the car lower and inwards. Als well as that, there is a lot of playability for large travel and hard shocks or low travel and soft shocks. Another advantage of pushrod suspension is that it allows you to connect 2 double wishbone setups with one shock absorber (or even all 4). You can see this on F1 cars.

I was trying to figure out a way to make independent suspension with steering using the universal joint for axles. I actually made it work, but it doesn't as way too complicated too mount. Trucks usually use solid axles with leaf springs and air bags for which LEGO does not have a proper equivalent. Pendular solid axles with the rubber pieces to dampen their movement would work. Offroad ones have live axles.

You don't know how the hell double wishbone suspension works. First if its so bad why do 99% of cars use it. Second double wishbone always has the shocks attached to the top swing arm. Third it is easy to have driven you just need CV joints. Please don't feed lies to people that aren't good with lwgo technical.

Thanks for your angry and honest comment. I believe I know what I am talking about. I did not say dual wishbone suspension is bad. Technic models often have shocks mounted at the bottom wishbone.
