In the corner of my room, where shadows softly play, Stands a memory of melodies that whisk me far away. A Yamaha Genos 2, with keys that gleam and glow, Unveils a realm of rock, where memories gently flow. Its keys, like ancient pathways, lead to days of yore, Where dreams were spun from vinyl, and echoes filled the floor. Each chord a whispered secret, each riff a cherished tale, In the Rock Style category, where emotions never pale. From the depths of adolescence to the heights of grown-up grace, The Genos 2 became the vessel for every heartfelt trace. With every strum and drumbeat, it echoed joys and fears, Capturing the essence of those long-forgotten years. Oh, how those Rock Styles carried me, on journeys swift and grand, Through the highways of nostalgia, across the shifting sands. Each note a testament to the power of a song, In the heart of every listener, where memories belong. So here I sit, with Genos 2, beneath the soft-lit glow, Lost in waves of longing, where the rock gods used to roam. In every chord, a story, in every rhythm, a sigh, As I wander through the echoes of a love that never dies.

I’ve said it before and will say it again; it’s so easy to play something you want to learn the right tune for, however, your talent exceeds all bounds by playing the wrong notes with ease to avoid the copy strikes. It’s almost cringeworthy listening to the wrong notes as always want to try and play the right notes, but I know you are doing it for the right reasons, it makes you a much higher level musician than many will give you credit for. Well done Leigh!

Hi Leigh, just to let you know I spoke to Yamaha tech today. I told them that your videos helped me make my mind up on buying my G2 5 days ago. So because you have helped me a few brownie points will come your way. I have my G2 loaded up and sounds amazing so i cannot thank you enough. Scott ps It was the Aiva maria what clinched it 😊

Hi Leigh, just wanted to let you know of all the Genos 2 demos I have listened to and watched, this one was the ultimate decision maker. Had my Genos 2 delivered last week, and yes it’s another WOW! These videos demonstrating the styles have been extremely helpful and inspiring. Thanks again for taking the time to put these videos together. I had the Genos original since it was launched and hesitated to trade in for Genos 2, but absolutely no regrets. Desert Adventure, amazing!

Just received my New Yamaha Genos2 a fortnight ago. What an awesome piece of kit. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your videos on how to get the best out of the genos 2. I cannot read a note of music or do I know what cords I am playing. I just received my first pension payment last month. I started to play an old piano that was in our house at the age of seven, went numerous teachers who tried to teach me how to read music. Unfortunately with no success. Yamaha is is a big name in my home I now have now four keyboards and a Clavinova to my collection. Psr 2000/Psr 910/ Tyros 1 / Genos 2. The Genos 2 is in a class of it own. Keep up the good work you are doing for us old boys who are still scratching our heads with all the new technology.Thanks once again. Kenny

But... yamaha.... please.... update that damn OTSs, or at least... GIVE USERS THE ABILITY TO OVERWRITE THE DEFAULT ONES WITHOUT HAVING TO SAVE A COPY OF THE STYLE IN USER AREA!!!!!!!!!

Hello, First, i must appologise for my terrible english, i am from the Czech Republic and i am not so advanced. I would like to thank you for all your videos about Yamaha Genos 2. I must highly rate your precise work and the time you have spent with recording the reviews of all style categories. I am the owner of Genos 1 and considering to buy the new model, so those videos are wery helpfull for me. But still there is something that i really miss. I am a song writer and background music creator so the live performing is not my main activity. Most of your videos shows only the style section step by step and yes, it is interesting, but on Genos 2, there are not only hundreds of styles but also thousands of voices and this is what i am interested in mostly. I am werry familliar with Genos 1 voices and know them so well. It is easy to find out that voices on Genos 2 are not werry different and the time period of six years between those two instruments is not so noticeable as we hoped. But some differences are there and this is what i would like to hear more than onli as a part hidden in the style pattern. Offcourse, you can not show us and play each of two thousnt voices, but you can play shortly atleast some of the most important like a guitars, electric guitars, bass guitars, strings, woodwinds and drums. Some of them have been added, some of them have been improved and many of them have not been used in styles. On KZfaq i have found some videos with new pianos, Factory Demos and lot of styles, but i would like to hear some of the new instruments like a cynematic Drumkit, Rock kit, solo strings, flutes, guitars, clarinets, choirs and so on. My biggest question is, when i will buy Genos 2 and use the best of its new and improved voices for creating my own multitrack compositions mostly from Rock, Country, Pop and Movie genres, will the result be noticeable better than the simmilar piece on Genos 1? Ant there are some other technical questions about Genos 2. For instance: Is the new Ambient Controller applicable only for drum part inside a style or can it be applied also for the drumkit as a solo voice? Or can it be applied for some separate drumkit part in multitrack recording session? And the same about the new Dynamic style controller. Can you adjust only the dynamic of styles or also the your on multitrack recordings or other solo voices. And what about the steinberg Revelation Reverb? Where it can be used and can you for instance apply your own setting for one part of multitrack session and the different setting for another part or midi channel? For Genos 1, you could download the Voice Guide package of samples, usable for Visually impaired people to make a Genos Touch screen more accessible. Is there something Simillar for Genos 2? What about the Screen? Is it really Better? Is not there some opportunity to change the screen font size to be better readable for visually impaired? I am Almost Blind ant those things are important for me. Genos 1 was the first soffisticated instrument with touch screen which i was able to particullary use without seeing and the usability of its follower is one of the most important arguments to buy. Excuse me for a long message with so many mistakes but i dont know where else i should ask for my questions. That would be fantastic if you will find some time to record a video with voice examples. I know a lot about Genos 2, there are so many videos with so much talking about styles and functionality, but solo voices, various instruments and how they sounds, this is what is missing.

loving your videos. Just recently became a subscriber of your channel. Question, as someone who's blind, do you think with remembering where the buttons are on the Genos 2, do you think someone like me could use this? I have played the Tyros 5 and CVP 709 and 809. Also, you have to explore all 3 intros and endings... a lot of styles have different crazy drum stuff at the end.
@LeighWilbraham5 ай бұрын
I would say yes. The buttons are easy to remember it’s the screen menu that may be an issue.
@user-ge3bg5xc5v4 ай бұрын
Hello, i am blind aswell and by my oppinion, Genos is also Accessible for us. I had a Tyros 2 before and there was so much buttons, that sometimes i have been lost on the panel. Genos is more simple, more intuitive and easier to use. And i have signet all the buttons with the braille alphabet so it is super easy now. A dint know if it works on Genos 2, but on Genos 1, there was a large sample package called Voice Guide, which aloves you to browse the styles and voices and some of the basic menu with a voice feedback, like a speech syntesizer on the computer. Not each deep menu item has been voiced but for the basic operations it is amazing. With the expression pedal switched on, you can just browse the screen without activating anything and without dhe pedal you are activating the items. The touch screen is one thing which is not friendly for the blind people but the Voice guide is simplifiing its using so much. I have Genos 1 and now i am stil counting pros and cons to buy a new brand Genos 2. My main job are not styles but voices and their using in multitrack recirdings. I hope that mr. Braham or someone else will make some video showing not only the styles but also the voices and their pottentional differences from Genos 1.
@user-ge3bg5xc5v4 ай бұрын
@@mrdali67 Yes, switching between another brands is absolutelly crazy. I had Old Yamahas, i had Korg Triton, i had Nord and so on but Genos is the most intuitive. Still i would like to find the ansvers for some questions, but probbably i will buy the new one. Questions like: If the Style Dynamic controller works only with the styles or wit the multitrack midi recordings too, if the Drum ambient controller works also wit a drums as a separate solo voice or only within the style and so on, i would like to hear some of the new voices sepparately but those are just a details.
