🌸 Reflecting on my recent visit to the fascinating exhibition last month. Leiko Ikemura's art at Villa Jacobs Park in Potsdam truly captivated my senses. The internationally renowned Japanese artist seamlessly blends Eastern and Western influences in her enchanting paintings and sculptures.🎨✨
🌿 Stepping into the serene landscape garden, I was immediately drawn into Ikemura's metaphysical world, where humans, animals, and plants intertwine harmoniously. The sculptures seemed to effortlessly blend into the natural surroundings along the tranquil shores of Lake Jungfernsee. 🌳🏞️
🐇 One of the highlights is the monumental artwork "Usagi Kannon," visible across the waters of Lake Jungfernsee. "Usagi" means "hare" in Japanese, symbolizing luck and fertility. In Ikemura's unique artistic vision, the "Usagi" embodies protection, tranquility, and strength. 🐇✨
🎨 Leiko Ikemura's artistic journey began with literature in Osaka and Spain before immersing herself in the world of painting at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes in Seville. After residing in Zurich for several years, she settled in Germany in the 1980s, where she continues to create her awe-inspiring works today. 🎨🌍
🙏 A special thanks to Stefan and Marianne Ludes for curating this inspiring exhibition, where art, wine, and literature converge to create a truly enriching experience. 🍷📚✨
