I had the great pleasure of hearing Ms. Horne up close in a Chicago theatre in the '80s, and mixing live sound for Mr. Bennett several times in the '70s. Their performances were best described as magical. She was absolutely radiant! These songs are as much the product of Mr. Arlen as of the lyricists who turned them into the songs we remember. They heard here were Ted Koehler, Yip Harburg, and Johnny Mercer.

Oh my. Have to take a breath. I thought: 'Tony, do you dare stand next to this woman?' Yes, he does. And not many on earth could. Rare talents, and I am grateful.

Lena Horne really comes alive in the last five minutes. They are two of the best talents this world has ever seen! I'm not sure how well their voices blend in certain parts but it is still very entertaining to watch these two icons.

A couple of great voices that blend well together and sing with fabulous solo contrasts a medley of Arlen classics. Let's have more, Mr. Bennett! I'm eager to get your CD with Diana Krall and your homage to the immortal Gershwins.

With all due respect, I was not overly impressed. It was to long, Tony's voice rarely blended with Lena's and he hit a couple of clinkers. And if I can notice them, they had to be pretty bad, considering i'm somewhat tone deaf. I liked Lena most of the time, but, she tried at times to put way to much into the song. Harold Arlen is unquestionably Judy's favorite composer. At Carnegie Hall on 4/23/1961 she just finished singing Come Rain Or Come Shine, with Mr. Arlen sitting right in front of her. And she said, HAROLD DARLING, STAND-UP and introduced him to her audience, and said we do most of his song thru the whole Concert. When she made A Star Is Born who did she want to do the score Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg, but, Yip was unavailable, so Judy had to settle for some little known lyricist named Ira Gershwin to write the lyrics. The Man That Got Away. It was a much better song than "Three Coins In A Fountain"
