Well, Lenovo announced it in january. As of march 14th i'm still waiting for the 500e 8gb ram version. I called them but they have no clue when it will be available... wait to go Lenovo!!!! I'm going for the google pixelbook.

I have the Acer R11 flip laptop. There are a lot of features that don't work when you flip it into tablet mode, for example when it goes into sleep mode, I have to unfold it, close it and open it again - is this laptop the same?

I need 8 gb RAM before I would even consider a Chromebook. Sometimes I need to run PCB or FPGA design software so I would need to be able to run Linux and these applications. Most of the time I am fine with Android apps for my personal stuff. At the current prices and limitation of Chromebooks I would have to go with a Windows laptop which are just as cheap. I am holding out as long as I can but I may end up just going for a Windows laptop.

I think chrome books have all the type of potentials but what bothers me the most is that it is unbelievable how fast and accurate it can send information back and fourth . hahaha.
