Hello thanks a lot for your video! I was wondering , is it ok to place a 16gb ram with more Mhz like 3200 instead of what we have atm wich is 1064? Does give problem to the motherboard? I do have btw the ideapad y700 15isk. max ram is 16GB for my model right? =)

Regarding your question, You can certainly install a 16GB 3200MHz RAM module, but please note that the motherboard will adjust the RAM frequency to match its maximum supported speed, which in this case is 1064MHz. Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that for Intel CPUs, RAM speed doesn't have as significant an impact on performance compared to AMD CPUs, where higher RAM speeds can lead to better performance. Have you tried upgrading the RAM modules with one with a higher frequency? I would like to know if better invest a little bit more money. As @uFixTek it looks like the frecuency will be the same. Thanks in advance

@@Axelius_ As @uFixTek said seems that it does not worth to go for a better frequency . In my case having intel i chose to don' t do that .

@@erikah.4745 I was asking this because I am think to upgrade the ram from 2 sticks of 8gb each one to 2 sticks of 16 each one. For this reason I was asking maybe I will purcharse the average frecuency avalaible. For any reason would you know if this laptop model supports 32 gb of ram. The guide dont say maxium. Some places appear 16 another 32. With a cmd command to check it shows 32 but I haven't seen anyone on internet with this cuantity of ram.

No hablo inglés, pero ojalá me entiendas. Que tipo de ram le pusiste? Soporta 32, según el manual sólo soporta 16 pero a visto que le ponen 32

Hola! Al final obtuviste alguna información al respecto? Estoy pensado en upgradearlo a 32gb, pero me encuentro en las mimas que tú. Veo que en la documentación solo soporta 16gb. Sin embargo, a través del vídeo que comparte @ufixtek parece admitir 32gb. No sé si has tenido posibilidad de probarlo en tus carnes? Gracias de antemano y saludos
