Hi Bernard, thanks for the great info, but, what about reviewing the 15in version? Should I buy the Yoga 730 15, or the Flex 5 15? I don't really care about the keyboard or the touchpad since most of the time I use a set-up with a stand for the laptop, a full keyboard and a mouse at the office. Also, I can just leave it connected all the time so the battery is not a priority either. I guess my priorities are: Screen (my office has plenty of natural light, almost outdoorsy situation), performance (engineering applications), and value and durability (I would like to use it for as long as possible, I am not the kind of person that replace its tech every year). Thank you very much in advance if you take the time to answer.

How's the fit and finish? As in are all the panel gaps equal or are there any micro defects etc?

I agree with comments re keypad. Little touchy and somewhat lacks good feedback leading to many typing errors. (I use a variety of keypads and in full disclosure, might be a bit of "not used to." Touch pad is very good since I'm by habit a mouse user. I have attached a Thunderbolt port extender which also powers Yoga. Works well. All in all not bad and I use it more than my desktop lately.

you do know how to adjust the brightness do you? I had to call customer service because it was so dark. You go click on the power supply icon in the lower right of taskbar, hit Adjust screen brightness, or in Edit Plan Settings click on Change Advanced Power Settings, in the Power Options dialog box click on Display and then hit Enable Adaptive Brightness and turn it off under all conditions the battery and plugged in. If you don't turn off Enable Adaptive Brightness it will never be bright enough to use. Then you can set the brightness as you like. If you refresh the system you will have to turn Enable Adaptive Brightness off again. Unfortunately that was not self explanatory to all new owners of Lenovo.

So I got the German version and it has the active pen 2 inside the box. Keyboard doesn't feel very responsive, but just a matter of getting used to. Trackpad on the other hand is one of the best using precision drivers. I use the tablet and notebook mode for university, and the tend mode while on the couch or putting it on the lap. Overall great value device for 829€ thanks for the review

Hung-Fuc Chung should I get it from USA or Germany as I will be there this winter semester? What are the specifications and how is the build quality like will it absorb shock when dropped?

@@Theurbanmajor zur Vorbestellung gab es die i5 Variante zu diesem Preis bei Mediamarkt und der Saturn meines Vertrauens hat mir den Preis angepasst.

@@RahulKumar-mh4bk I have dropped it once from about 1m height. Luckily just some scratches, but I am not too satisfied with the grey coating as it easily fades on the very sharp edges of this device. Have the i5, 256gb version, which performs very good on daily use.

I have no idea why this laptop is so damn bad in terms of the monitor, my monitor started flickering one day and it got worse until it was unusable, now I have to get it fixed, this laptop needs to work properly. Especially after I just got it after 2 months.

If u want to use an external 4k monitor u can't duplicate a 1080 screen. This will only upscale the picture from 1080. try it out with "screen 2 only" or "extend"
