I've known several psychiatrists. Some of them seem to get into the profession out of a desire to learn how to control people, rather than help them. Not that they'd ever express or even recognize that.

Would've been funnier if Bernadette was clued in on it and was there at the time or came back in time to see her and when Howard tried to show he had a girlfriend that Bernadette asked him for money and saying it wasn't part of the deal to make conversations I was only paid to smile and appear nothing else. Maybe even allude to him needing to talk to his significant other before spending more money on her before leaving just to screw with him 😂. I wonder if this would be too far just for the comedic effect that Raj did a double take on Howard after they talked and was about to leave Raj going downstairs and Howard back in and Howard creeped out by how Raj even did a double take like he was contemplating it 😂😅.

That actually happened to a friend of mine in college. His parents came to take him home at the end of Freshman year and while they were packing up the car they told him his dog had died two months earlier. Needless to say his reaction was pretty close to Leonard's.
