This is the dumbest argument I've ever heard. Obviously Amy (and the writers of BBT) doesn't undertand the difference between story and plot. Trying to find the Ark before the Nazis do is the plot, not the story. Without Indy, the story makes no sense at all, because without Indy, Indy never gets the opportunity to choose to look away from the Ark, and never gets to show the difference between him and his greatest enemy.
