How does a Muay Thai fighter win a 100 fights Consecutively? With the damage acquired by the average Thai fighter per fight, the feat in and of it self seems only possible in fairy tales, yet here this legend is at 39 to this day, still possessing a cat like prowess like you've never seen before... How does Lerdsila Chumpairtour do it? Well, what if you don't take damage because you don't get hit? That definitely changes everything. Reaction time, reflexes, vision and of course beautiful technique; Thank you for joining me on this highlight feature and breakdown where we will be taking a closer glance at the Muay Thai living legend Lerdsila Chumpairtour.

@Wizard of Oz Stop trolling. I watched the fight at 3:38 live. That guy he fought tried his hardest, but after that kick, they damn near needed a spatula to pry his ass off the mat. @Wizard of Oz The guy he fought was an MMA fighter fighting his first Muay Thai fight. Against this legend. Like tossing steak to the wolves. Because that could be somebody catching your leg and slicing your base leg with a sword at the same time which you can't afford to check or stand around on! Think about how fighters would fight in the 18th century where swords and spears dominate the battlefield as well as duels before guns begin to! They'd be trained to do just that and Lerdsila is the shining and extremely rare example of that kind of a warrior with such lost techniques in history! In fact, we could consider Lerdsila as the closest we got to a practical kung fu warrior in which we see dodging swords aimed at their legs even just one-legged!

@josecarbia8181
@josecarbia8181 3 жыл бұрын
@@justaguyfromreddit I can tell you. JKD or Jeet Kune Do is the martial arts system and set of philosophies that Bruce Lee established. His ideas about martial arts helped create MMA today. Dana White calls him the father of MMA. He was way ahead of his time in understanding principles of fighting. For example, he identified 5 methods of counter-offense (response to attacks). From least to most efficient they are the following: Distance (get out range), Block and Hit (absorb damage, hit), Parry and Hit (move attack off the dangerous line, hit), Evade and hit (move target of attack while staying in range, hit), and finally the Stop Hit. To perform a Stop Hit or interception you hit your opponent as they are forming their attack and thereby disrupt the attack and damage them. So it's solving all the problems at once. To do this you have to have a deep muscle memory regarding the technique you're intercepting and be able to anticipate where it will go. Then you have to move yourself to a perfect position while attacking off exactly the correct angle and usually in a straight line attack as they're generally faster than curved attacks. Fighters like Saenchai, Anderson Silva, Israel Adesanya, Lyoto Machida, and other evasive of technique focused dudes pull it off sometimes. Lerdsila's teep to instantly stop the rolling thunder kick was a perfect example. See also Bruce Lee in Longstreet, he'll explain it to you himself.

Being like water is almost if not, completely impossible. The skeletal system of the human body cannot allow a human being to even be 'LIKE' water because of protecting the parts of the human body. Some of which are for joints as well although I admit that MOST of the human body consists of water. The brain of a human though, could help in defense and attack by using reflexes through practicing (from action game/videos all the way to gymnastics and martial arts itself).

Yea, sounds TOTALLY contradictory when you take that into account😏 But I believe him though. I seriously think that when gets ready to/for a fight he's thinking "Let's have some fun! If I win, great, if not that's okay as long as I enjoyed myself!" I'm sure that's one of the main keys to his success: A positive and relaxed mindset. Most fighters go into a fight with a "Win! Win! WIN!" mentality and generally try to overpower their opponent to get a quick victory. That, in actuality, is particularly detrimental and will do more harm than good. How so? It's quite fatiguing and it builds stress. Stress makes you rigid and in turn less flexible. One of the last things you want to happen as a fighter is to have your flexibility be compromised. It's like that quote says about how fighting is 90% mental, 10% physical. Whether it's 100% accurate or not it DOES make a good point🤔

Pff. You can even see on this video alone, the genuine smile all the time and mutual respect to the other fighters. Hes not giving any cheap shots even when he could while the opponent is ats his most vunerable state. This guy lets the opponent to mess up, get back up and try again. Someone who really cares about winning wouldn't let anyone get up for free.

The mind and central nervous system to muscle connection gets better with each rep ,each set, and movement preformed. This is how to master self. When that is complete you will be able to see premeditated movements made by your opponent. Learning body language your foes moves will become like slow motion and because you know "self" and have practiced and seen various techniques over and over again ,the flaws and opening will become obvious . Allowing you to counter in unorthodox fashion with least effort. This is wu wie... Or what anime lovers would call "ultra instinct".

I love how his fighting style and mentality are so taekwondo-like. Keeping the hands low for greater mobility and speed, using the legs reactionarily and to gauge distance, and sometimes going for deceptive kicks rather than more straightforward ones. These are all techniques used in taekwondo and even though he probably hasn't done much tkd training, its still really cool to see that type of fighting implemented in a practical way instead of just the light sparring you see in tkd.
