yep if they ever wanted to do a remake or reunion of that 70s show and need young actors for some time of flashback... now is the time!

I found this super interesting, Dylan! I usually watch movies and I notice missed storyline or acting opportunities, but I don’t watch movies with a ‘director’s eye’. So I love this extra perspective on movies and I love how you analyze them. I’d love more in depth videos on specific characters as well. Like, about how their personalities were set up and how their character growth was portrayed and how that could have been done better in your opinion.

This is my favorite video that you’ve ever done. I LOVE the edits that you did and it’s so cool that you acknowledged the positives and the potential it has, not just roasting it the whole time.

I really enjoyed this new format Dylan!! And I think the reedited scenes are my favourite part! Video essayists often talk about making scenes better but I like that you actually show as what you mean, even if your ~vision~ is limited by the available footage. Great video!!

I loved this video! love that you're going in that analytical direction without losing your humor and I loved your edited scenes. You were right in the beginning that for an outsider it's hard to catch up on good or bad directing while you're watching the movie and with this analysis you did a really good job of exlpaining what direction is about - would love to see more of this!!

I like that you add your own input in terms of the directing of movies. Especially when you point out camera shots and angles. It's one of the many reasons I subscribed to your channel. Anyone can do movie commentary and point out funny things but I think it's amazing that you provide that AND informative facts about movie directing. I hope you continue to make more videos like this.

This made my day! When I first started watching your commentary videos, I liked them for the roasting but mainly for the direction commentary (I go to film school as well). Then they became less that and more just roasting, and I still love them, but seeing this video just made me so happy because you make SO many great observations! Would love it if it became a series on your channel. Great video.

hehe one of my childhood sledding places was over a road, as in every single ride you would go over the road. We (the kids) made rules for safety, you could only ride there if you were atleast two people, one lookout. Only some sleds were aloud over a certain height and if you went to the top atleast two people had to be lookouts etc.

I would LOVE to see more of this kind of video tbh, i enjoy your movie commentaries too but i love it when you critique the movie technically and show us how it could work better if edited/ directed differently. Like you said, people can recognize bad acting and writing but usually that's not the case with editing and directing so i find it very educating and entertaining when you show examples of that.
