If I remember correctly Miyamoto wanted Kirby to be yellow because it was the happiest colour he could think of, but it might have sparked a small controversy with Pac-Man so they designed him pink.

As somone who first kirby game was Amazing Mirror and a forgotten Motion Controlled Gameboy SP Kirby-Roller game, and that *loves* Squeak Squad (my first DS game)...this was a really nice convo about the Pinkest Bestest Boy in Gaming, bless your hearts. (also Air-Ride was SUPER FUN)

Kirby was pink on the Japanese box art of Dreamland 1, Nintendo of America was like "fuck it he's 'grey' on the game boy, so he'll be grey on the box art". Also Nintendo of America apparently thought Kirby was suppose to be a ghost or some shit.

Air Ride is so good for some people that they find it "the best Kirby Game". I know numerous people who claim to be Kirby fans because they love air ride, or just in general say that Air Ride is the best Kirby game ever. Although I don't get why it's so popular, I wouldn't go nearly as far as the one dude did in saying it was terrible.

Though I played super star ultra instead of the original super star (god I wish I could find me a copy of that nowadays), I have to say that great cave offensive is the game I played the most, if we don't count the arena. I remember spending a lot of time trying to find the last couple of pieces of treasure. Super star was a great package, my favorite Kirby game to date.

I admittedly haven't played too many Kirby games, the only one I've beaten 100% was Mouse Attack, I also played Magic Mirror I think it was called? And I have the wii game but never beat it, but after this I'm feeling pretty interested in trying the other games.

Kirby's Dreamland 2 was my first Kirby game, finding all the star rod pieces and being like "Oh shit, there's more!" was so awesome as a kid when you beat the game and the character list has the ??? dark matter listed. Actually went and bought the game on the 3ds to replay it (have the cartridge yet but like, no back lit gameboy color kinda sucks; 100%'d it and I want to point out if you have one of the friends from one of the minibosses if you go back with them and beat them again you get Gooey (or a female blob with a bow). Shit was fun man.
