The thing about Deadmau5 that a lot of people miss is that he has dipped his foot in almost every electronic genre there is, to the point where he has basically just made noise at one point. But the poppy cheesy vocal tracks with four on the floor beats will always get more attention than any Trip Hop or DNB he makes because it's what sells. I can't blame him for taking advantage of what he knows considering he has the ability to.

On the subject of MCR vs "emo" I can see where people are coming from, but I also hear bands like Smashing Pumpkins and Misfits peppered in their sound (definitely big influences on Gerard Way's writing and vocal style). I wonder if folks would call material from either of those bands emo. Still waiting for a needledrop review of MCR's Three Cheers or Black Parade albums.

Drake has been on the decline since Views. The album had some good songs, but it started to throw the whole Toronto-Jamaican thing. He had it on his previous albums, but not as prevalent as Views. From there, he just ran with it. That, the memes, and hopping on one hit wonders.

Getting into different genres of music is actually really fucking easy. About 60% of people who claim to "can't get into it" are saying that due to previous attitudes and negative perceptions they bring into their first time listens. Being closed off and "looking down" on the music to begin with.

In regards to "Singers who don't write their own lyrics are just actors", I agree if the artist is a rapper since you don't require a good singing voice. With actual singing however, you have to actually be able to sing. Rappers that use ghost writers are literally just actors *cough* Drake

Despite coming through with a streak of hot models Trump’s womanography is brought down by an over reliance on the gold digger trope. Besides that his underage collaboration with Jeffrey Epstein and his voyeuristic tendencies at teen pageants really underscores his work as a whole.

agreed, although he has wider appeal and isnt as easily grating as nickleback can be. nickleback do have more redeemable factors. for one, they're not really culture vultures, they dont simp and they didnt get humiliated by Pusha T
@malnourishedafrican34236 жыл бұрын
the difference between drake and nickelback is that drake has one great album (iyrtitl) and nickelback doesn't
@BonafideSupastar6 жыл бұрын
The difference is that Drake has a collection of good albums under his belt and a plethora of great singles while Nickleback completely struggles to create a decent (minimum) song, let alone creating an entire that isn't anything more than post grunge shlock. Ultimately though, it just comes down to the fact that Drake, love him or hate him, is Drake. For a while before the culture vulture shit really took into effect, he at least had a stranglehold on that wintry Toronto sound that set him apart from most everyone in the rap game. Even now, Drake, as awful as he has been in very recent memory, still has that Drake sort of character and sound that still sets him apart from everyone else. When you put Nickelback in a mix with a bunch of other post-grunge garbage, what really even really differentiates them or makes them any better or any worse than the rest of the pack?
