Thank you for going through the trouble to actually test the performance! I assumed when they were talking about performance they meant the desktop was snappier

@@MumblingHugo No, you did a good job, everybody just talks about how fast it is with no proof of that. I may install it anyway because I'm looking for an Arch distro that has an easy install process

Im so confused guys i use direct install and it downloaded as drivers i look through the files but cant find anything to start up the installation process

Great video Hugo, would love a vanilla arch with Zen-kernel benchmark. Or maybe change it to the zen kernel on some if the distors you have already tried? 🤔

How of the fourd OS are better for nvidia series 1000 users? I see nobara fedora based not are good for nvidia and issues so i thi k arch bases are better but idk what choose? I see a lot of people saying Endervour OS is good but not to much because 1% low benchmark in ur video benchmark but is better in 0.1% low

Thanks for watching, the numbers in my channel are more of reference, because the laptop performance can be influenced a lot by heat, if i see the numbers are way off chart, I’d run it again. I’m planning to move all the numbers to my desktop pc, but that’s a big project, I’ll start working on it slowly soon. Endeavour OS and nobara are both solid distributions for sure, you won’t go wrong with either

During the installation, you mention that the OS is already updated by defaut if connected with the internet during it, is that a common behavior for most Distros? Since that reminded me of the Linus' Linux Challenge, where he forgot to update Pop!OS after installation and because of it, found a bug that led him to nuke his OS😂

The first thing I do is update the system, not just because of what happened to Linux but because it has happened to me before.

I"m running CACHY now-- and LOVE IT.. the kde version NEW kde6 and it's super good.

@@MumblingHugoIt is still a bit BUGGY--- fornow-- I just installed KAOS and it has the new kde6 also- seems more solid on there for some reason-- no glitches yet...

@@MumblingHugo Started having Hickups in the kde6-- but theyre' correcting more every day-- getting ready for the COMPLETED reveal. That's why some distros NOT updating to it now.... I installed KAOS yesterday with it and it's SUPER good- NO hickups at all so far..and a beautifully simple and fast distro too!! INDEPENDANT.
