I make so many little mistakes. It is so nice to know that I am not alone in this. I am a perfectionist, so I struggle to keep on once I make any mistake. It's become good for me to push past this. I am glad I found your channel. So many good ideas. I just made one with a Twinkie box. I wish I had seen your videos first.

Shirley, I too am a recovering perfectionist, in fact I think I allow myself mistakes in creating because I have never allowed myself to make mistakes anywhere else in my life. I LOVE being creative and I didn't want to ruin my experience by being a perfectionist in that area too. As a full time creative person... this has been the first area of art that I have allowed myself that grace an it has made all the difference. I think that's why I love it so much, because I really allow myself to just make mistakes and as you say push past them. Thanks for watching and for your comment, I wish you so much happiness.... and buy another box of Twinkies so you can make more books! ;-)

@@MichelleRaeLandry Thank you. I want to be a Recovering Perfectionist too. I have not done so many things because of my need to do something perfectly and knowing I can't. It's life limiting in so many ways. I get so frustrated with myself. I watch the videos and then sit here for days unable to even pick up the scissors. I will print out things and fussy cut them and have a pile of things and unable to just grab some paper and see what happens. Yet when I create something, it's like I am in a Happy Bubble where life's problems seem off at a distance. Thank you for your words. I appreciate you.

I love watching your videos. I find that you and I talk a lot alike (I’m from Maine.). Our thought processes are similar too. It’s like visiting with a good friend. 😎

I love knowing that I'm crafting alongside new friends. Yep...we New Englanders probably talk a lot alike. How far up are you in Maine? PS- if we weren't alike already, many of my friends and my husband call me Shelly. ;-)

I just found your channel. I thought it was really cute how you talk about being left handed as you are cutting then use the scissors Right handed. I think that is ambidextrous! Thank you for sharing.... very nice

Haha yep I'm very left handed sometimes but I grew up in a right handed world so I guess I'm more ambidextrous than anything... LOL. I play sports right handed too. Thanks for watching and for having fun with with. This comment made me smile for sure.

I’d love to see a video where I don’t need to use a kit and one that you cover like this with other materials. I eat pasta a lot Mac and cheese and spaghetti too. More on the spaghetti. In fact I was eating it when I found this video. lol

CreativeOne- I hear you! When I began making journals I never used kits, for me the fun was finding all the materials to use. Somehow I think because of efficiency of time I got more away from that… but I definitely still do lots of projects without kits. It’s a good reminder that many people are not kit oriented, I promise I’ll have those types of videos too… so I hope you will join me again. (PS- if you look at my journal flip throughs most of them are not using digital kits- those projects were my roots!!! )

That one image on the digital paper of a blendy tool, (I think that’s what it is), looks like a pacifier to me lol. My brain ugh😂. These box journals are great…especially this one with the window!

That's so funny- The digital paper is not mine, 49 Dragonflies, and I love that there are so many of the items I use in the imagery but I'll admit I may never look at it the same way again. LOL Thanks for much for watching and commenting, I appreciate you!

I watched the three lovely videos of yours. I cannot tell you how much I learned as I am new. I bought so many things and watched videos however yours has been so lovely that I can say I can give it ago. You are a great teacher, easy to follow. I just would like to ask you about the three tools you were using to make these magnificent three holes with the little green thing what do you call them and where can I find them. Would be very grateful. Thank you for sharing. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Hey Michelle, a very good idea ... a checklistbook😍👍..i'll make me one...if you don't have a "window-spaghetti-box" you could make a window with a die-cut or so...🥰 coco
@MichelleRaeLandry
@MichelleRaeLandry 2 жыл бұрын
Great tip Coco! Absolutely we can always make windows if our boxes don't have them... but for lazy folks like myself, a built in one is a bonus. Thanks for your tip and your contribution to the conversation, I love that!

So, corners. Short answer/tip: leave more paper when you make your 45° cut. Then fold it down on the first side, so you can tuck it when you do the second side. Make a pilgrimage to the Batcave. You can practice corners, and I will practice inking. Always with the inking…😔
