Hi there! I use ProMix BX general purpose growing mix (the big 60 lbs block) - I've used it for years as it has always consistently done well for me. It doesn't contain any nutrients so you do need to add some form of fertilizer or compost or use a diluted liquid feed weekly (like Fox Farm) once your seedlings have their first or second set of true leaves. For the solo cups, I drill 3 to 4 holes depending on how big the bottom of the cup is. Thank you so much! Hi Rylee! That's a great question. We live in NY. If we were to start regularly selling plants, we would need to register as a nursery grower and a horticultural inspector would need to inspect our greenhouse, etc. There would also be a $100 fee. However, as we only sell some plants occasionally, our research suggested we should be fine without a permit. I hope this helps! 🌿💗 ~Rochelle
