When in the red zone down south , stick in Ampur Mueng of those provinces. You could wander around other Ampurs all you want but try and get back to the downtown before sunset.

I started your videos from your 1st video and I am so excited for your trip through Thailand.

When you are in the province of lop buri go that wonderful temple. I don't have a link but it is easy to find . Just go near the main city between the 7/11 and the morning market. There will be some separate food sellers on the street near there and you should see a 5 star chicken close by. Head towards the pharmacy and about half a mile down u will an eyeglass place called top chareon. Once you see the PT station just head straight till you see this picture of the king on a bridge and you will be close.

Paddy, I have to thank you a thousand times. Back in March 19 on my very first trip to Thailand I met a backpacker, who told me a bout the Mae Hong Son loop. Whe I returned home to Germany I immediately started my research and stumbled upon your video series about the loop, which gave me the confidence to just do it. It has been a life changing experience and I wanna thank you so much for the information and huge inspiration! I was supposed to go on my second road trip in last October to north-east Thailand, but due to covid... no chance. Yet. But delayed is not canceled. Wishing you a ton of fun travelling to the provinces! And once I make it back to Thailand's north, I would love to meet you for a beer or ten ;-) All the best, mate!

Hi Paddy, I’m super excited for your trip and I’ll be following you every day. I will keep this short so I will give you a couple very quick thoughts. 1. i’ve done the train from Yala to BKK and the air con blasted all night, cold as hell!! i wish i had brought a blanket or jacket. 2. the train will need your Green Book for the motorbike, keep it handy 3. i tried to upgrade to the VIP sleeper car but was told i needed to do that weeks in advance. i wish i had. 4. i have driven my motorbike to Yala a felt perfectly safe, the people are just as kind in Yala as everywhere else in Thailand 5. I don’t know where you are going to sleep in most of these provinces?? I don’t think most of them have hotels?? 6. don’t worry about the monsoons in Phuket / Surat Thani area, i think it’s the best time to travel. i bet you have more rain in Chaing Mai. 7. have you thought about your immigration requirements while on the road. i have tried to do my 90 day report while traveling and always told i need to do it in my home province. this always sucks!! 8. when you come to phuket, i hope you can plan a night in Rawai. you be my fully paid guest at the funnest bar in Phuket and i promise you’ll have some great content for your channel as video is allowed. I did a Circle the Pacific trip back in 1993. One of the many stop overs was in Manila. Ran into a guy who was returning from Thailand (my next stop) asked him for any advice since this was my first trip to this part of the world. His advice was "in Thailand all you have to do is show up". Also he did say get to Koh Samui before the jet planes arrive as the little airport there was planning to expand. Headed to Samui (train, bus, boat, I was poor back then) on my next trip in 94, wow a true paradise & lots of great memorries. He was so right on both counts. Have been showng up in Thailand ever since. I am posting under my wifes name as it is her account.

Such a good idea for stacking content and taking breaks. I like that you are letting people know that it's important to take care of yourself while living like this. Mental/emotional health is too often overlooked on more glamorous channels. Your down to earth vulnerability/humility is what has kept me watching you since budgeteers s1. Stay humble and you will have true fans forever. Looking forward to the grand adventure, love the entire idea!

Some advise. After any province you visit tell us what’s next then we can recommend where’s to go what’s to eat.

Find a solar motorbike instead of using a gasoline bike. Buy a tent and try sleeping in a public area you can do 100 THB a day if you don't sleep in a hotel. And the most important is Don't forget to visit Nan province (aka a Switzerland of Thailand) especially in the rainy season (please avoid the hot season).

My main area of knowledge is in the NW - really anything north & west from Phitsanulok - but I'm sure my wife and I can come up with some suggestions. Good luck Paddy, so exited about your trip. I think you got a great plan that will allow you to have spontaneous adventure, too much planing can backfire. At least for me when I plan every little detail and something go wrong as often happens in life, my anxiety kicks in. Stay safe and make sure you take care of yourself.

Hi Paddy, just a heads up! I heard you want to visit Yala. Please hear me out!!! Please avoid these areas in these provinces: 1. Yala Province (especially the City district, Raman district, Bannang Sata district), 2. Narathiwat Province (especially Ra-ngae district, Rueso district, Bacho District), 3. Pattani Province (some remote areas, but the city is fine). These provinces/areas are well-known, by among Thai people, to be the homes of insurgency and terrorism in Thailand, as well as deadly robberies. More than 10k incidences of armed conflicts and bombings, both lethal and non-lethal, haven been reported over the past 10 years, and thousands of people have been killed. The groups responsible for the terrorist acts are largely religious extremists (it's long history to why this happens, so I will keep it short). Anyhow, please please please avoid all of these areas that I have mentioned, at all costs. I know those places can be beautiful but they are not worth your life!!!

As much as this is a travel show the education part is so important had no idea there's instability in the southern provinces keen to see those videos, important to take a break mate the sun sand and surf will do you some good, I really enjoyed the zip lining video something along those lines every now and then will be really cool.
