I truly feel the whole 'I don't want to evolve this Pokemon because it's evolved form's shiny is worse' with Octillery... thankfully after catching a shiny Remoraid in PLA, I immediately found a shiny Octillery not even a minute later, so I didn't have to! Wildest shiny luck ever.

@sabinelesher9219 I did similar!!! I got my first noibat a week ago, refused to evolve it, and then when doing a jangmo-o hunt with a dragon sandwich I succeeded early and used the extra time to go get another noibat!!! It's so cute...

One thing I thought of for Giraffarig: Swap the colors so that the front has the colors normally on the back, and vice versa.

There's a lot of shinies that you seem to call similar that don't look similar to me at all, mostly Delibird and Mantine. Magenta is pretty distinct from red for Delibird, and the significant saturation boost on Mantine looks pretty different imo.

Purple quilava instantly sold me to the concept: The original with magenta flames was good, but _wow_ that palette shift really brings it up to 11. Same with Teddiursa's line- I was totally fine with the green, but the moon-and-sky motif really knocks it out!

I had a idea for the shiny of sneasel, in the original gen 2 games, sneasel and spinarak had different colors to their modern ones, and since spinarak got their shiny colors to look like the original, i think having sneasel being a brown and light blue accents, abd white for the gem

a funny thing for Girafarig shiny could have been to switch the color on his body the black part become yellow (or red) and the yellow (or red) part become black to stick to the palyndrome even more ^^

Phanpy was most certainly a shiny I almost missed out on in Violet, and it didn’t help that mine was all by itself. I’m glad the Let’s Go feature works in the way it does, but wish some shinies were more noticeable in the first place. That’s why I love your pink Shiny Phanpy & Donphan! It can also be a cute nod to Pink Elephants on Parade :P

I’ve been loving this series!! You do so great recoloring the Shinies! I’ve got some suggestions for Gen 3 if you’re interested! Shiny Loudred/Exploud with Shiny Whismers colors Shiny Torkoal with a red body and a black shell Shiny Volbeat/Illumise with their original colors swapped Shiny Corphish and Crawdaunt turning blue to reference blue Crawfish/Lobsters That’s all I could really think of!

8:16 Slowking doesn't evolve from Slowbro. It's an alternate evolution of Slowpoke, though Shiny Slowpoke was also purple in Gen II.

Sneasel could also use its colors from its old Gold and Silver sprites, where it was brown with mint blue feathers, and same goes for Weavile

7:25 when I remade shinies as a fun doodle challenge, one that was suggested was espeon. I change their colour to a deep strong pink like a hairless cat. Then I coloured the inside of the ears and eyes purple and the stone red

My first ever shiny was an Oddish in Gen 3 which I evolved into Bellossom since I wasn't into Vileplume at all. I always imagined Espeon's shiny to be white with a gold jewel and either deep red eyes or more saturated normal eyes.

I love the colors you used! It’s really nice, I love how you fixed the cyndaquils line shinies as they are my favorite starters in gen 2. The sentret one was really cute! And I also liked the chikorita line aswell, autumn colors really go well with grass types! Aswell with purple goes well on a grass type.

No complaints or nitpicks this video, I really like the concepts you came up with! For Sunkern and Girafarig, I also think reversing the colors would be a very cool shiny as well, especially with Sunkern matching an Ultra Ball! I'd also agree that Skarmory would definitely benefit from the metallic texture given in SV, and I really like that the original evokes Copper or Brass(I lean more towards copper) than steel(though one could also see it as rust)

Its hard to decide but out of the shinies you changed, Crobat has gotta be my favourite Its already one of my favourites, and the red and dark purple colour scheme accentuates its cool factor perfectly while giving vampire vibes I’m beginning to love this series, can’t wait for Hoenn!

Totodile line's shiny colors are...fine, but I'd have preferred a color scheme based on Feraligator's original beta/Gold & Silver sprite. That jade green and deep red look was way cool and very appropriate for an ornery swamp beast. Wish they had stuck with it for the final design.

Those fixed Teddiursa and Octillery shinies are fantastic! I actually like Skarmory's original shiny, I caught one on St. Patrick's day funnily enough. And I miss the original black and purple of the Cyndaquil line shinies. On the other hand, I can't stand Lugia's shiny but I'm fine with shiny Dragonite and Espeon. I don't like most pink shinies though, especially since a lot of Pokemon I like get splashed with that one super loud magenta color... It just boils down to me liking green way more than pink.

While I like the shiny version of the Tododile line; a change that I would make to the coloration is making the main body a pleasant green color to complement the blue spikes (instead of blending together).

I really like most of the shinies you've changed here, but i'm still gonna list a few of the controversial shinies i prefer as original ones: 1. Teddiursa line - Yeah, yeah i know it's green but... those 2 always reminded me of green gummy bears, which i just love. Also i really don't think green looks bad on Ursaring, bit maybe that's just me. 2. Octillery - While i like your shiny, i think gold fits it better. I don't really have an in-depth explanation for that one, i just prefer gold color pallet here. 3. Skarmory - I also like your shiny a lot, but the original one looks kind of like old rusted metal (or copper for that matter), which is also pretty great. 4. Donphan - Yeaa... while i see where you were going with Phanpy... pink doesn't really suit Donphan. The original shiny colors match the ground typing nicely. 5. Smeargle - Love the concept, but the blue details don't really work well here in my eyes. 6. Elekid/Magby - Yeah, those two... as for Magby, i just straight up prefer the original by a long shot, but in case of Elekid... i don't like either of em. I just think changing Electabuzz and Magmar shiny to this dark blue looks pretty awful, sorry. Aaand lastly 7. Larvitar line - Here's the thing, i like your shinies but let's be honest, not all intimidating looking pokemon need to have grey/black shinies to look good. While i think the original shiny Larvitar should match Tyranitars colors, the rest look amazing in my eyes. Shiny Tyranitar looks like a desert variant of a normal one, which i think suits it really dang well. It does learn Sandstorm after all. Yeah, that's about it. I still think most of your shiny concepts were great, and I really enjoyed watching the video!

Some thoughts and ideas: -Your Meganium is an improvement but the original prevo colors were a bit more distinctive imo. -The Cyndaquil line looks great in magenta but the bright green eyes and ears are a bit much. Some kind of orange could've been a bit more in line with the rest of the color scheme. -The orange and chartreuse ladybugs are more to my liking personally but I can see how they might look a tad too subtle for many. The yellow works great too! -Both Espeon colors are an improvement though I feel a luminous yellow/gold would've been just a bit more thematic for it. The color is associated with the sun obviously but also the Psychic type, especially in Gen 1. This is (most likely) why the city named after a shade of yellow has the Psychic type gym that gives the Gold/Yellow badge and why Golduck is named as such. -Scizor being green is fine. I just don't love the shade of green they chose. This is true for many green shinies. -Never really liked pink Heracross, sorry. A brick red would work better imo. It's a color associated with the Fighting type and works as a stylization of the chestnut coloration on common rhinoceros beetles, like how the default blue can be seen as a sort of stylization of the black color of a Japanese rhinoceros beetle. The eyes could stay yellow to keep the primary colors. -I don't really like Remoraid's shiny personally. It's a somewhat obnoxious color that's overused in water types and doesn't go with its theming. Since it's based on a revolver, maybe it could instead have a golden shiny that's like a fancy custom gun or something? Your Octillery looks great however, though a deep green with white, yellow or gray suction cups that references its tank basis could've worked as well. -Your shiny Skarm is alright but I still prefer the original. The subtle brassy color with the green wings looks very tasteful to me. One of the better uses of green in shinies imo. -I'm not really sure about the red on Blissey tbh. It's a bit aggressive for such a gentle Pokemon. Maybe it could be a soft bluish green instead? It's a more calming, friendly color that still fits the nurse theme. Alternatively, a black and white old timey nurse/French maid look could look pretty classy! Anyway, that's about it I think. Hopefully I wasn't too critical!

@@peripatches Thanks for the reply! Sorry I didn't talk a lot about what I actually liked. My favorites were probably Bellossom and teal Natu/Xatu. The stronger, warmer colors on Bell look great and suit a Sun Stone evo. And the cool, vibrant colors really fit the strange psychic birds. The most successful overall were probably the bears however. Even if I find the actual mons themselves forgettable, those are some seriously good shinies.

I don't hate pink Heracross, but I agree with a video I saw that proposed Shiny Heracross be brick red to fit the Fighting-type and have pale blue eyes. Also, I prefer the gold Shiny Scizor from Stadium 2, Colosseum, and XD, and liked KangasKid18 making Ursaring forest green with a bright yellow ring.

Gen 1 is the gen of Green Shinies, Gen 2 is the gen of Pink Shinies, and Gen 3 is gonna be filled with Yellow Shinies. I think Gen 4 and on tend to vary the shinies a lot more, but I also tend to think of Gen 4 as the gen of Blue Shinies.

My complaint with the Hoppip line is that the Skiploom doesn’t fit. Hoppip is colored like Skiploom. Jumpluff looks like Hoppip. Skiploom doesn’t get the memo. It should be blue. That way, it’s like the colors all rotated.

If you had to change The totodile line's shinies I think keeping the blue spikes would work well but changing the body to be an albino white would be amazing, some of the most famous albino creatures are alligators.

I think for the Cyndaquil line, I would have done what you did for Magmar's Make the green into black, and the yellow into orange. Really sell the volcano look. I'm surprised people didn't like Purple Macargo. Sneasel I would give the brown-ish black and Cyan look from the G/S sprites, that looked cool. Espeon being a mint green would fix it, unlike Scizor it doesn't pull off the green well in my eyes.

ik unova shinies are (probably) gonna be a lot later, but i feel the "i dont want to evolve this shiny cause the evo is worse" with deerling/sawsbuck. shiny deerling is so cute (especially with the winter form) but then sawsbuck barely changes and its so sad. maybe making the brown fur a darker pink, and changing the yellow to light pink would look nice? or at the very least just keeping the yellow -> light pink. but this is a cool series! i enjoy seeing other people's interpretations on how shiny pokemon can be improved, and while i wish game freak would maybe redo some shinies, it probably won't happen :')

while i like the crobat shiny as is, gotta say im a huge fan of your recolor. would be kinda hard to see while hunting tho, since regular crobat is purple already. I never understood why espeon was so hated while umbreon was so loved. espeon like, actually changes, and the color isn't bad. i think its just the pokemon communities general distaste for green shinies

The Sneasel could also have been it's original colours from GS, from before Ken Sugimori changed his colours in the official artwork. Its body and eyes were a dark brown, teal feathers(? (That thing it has :v) and white gems. Imo it was super pretty, still like the colours it has now, but wished they kept it at least for its shiny or smth :'v

For mamoswines, you could either give it the shiny you gave piloswine and swinub or personally for me, it would be better to give it a golden color like piloswone. This change could also be added to swinub.

It's because I think the pink works well with the heart it has on it's horn, not so much that it's a pink female pokemon 😄

Crobat is my favorite pokemon, but I hate the pink color for its shiny. I really like Zubat having green and tan instead of green and pink like Golbat, so having a tan body would be way better to me. I'm not sure why they had to change it for Golbat, so making him maintain the tan all the way through would be preferred. I'd also like their line to have black shinies to reference stereotypical bat depictions, though I'm not sure if I'd prefer Crobat with the black body or the other two. It depends on what the second color would be. And though not about the shiny, I loved Sneasel's original colors of brown and pale blue. Sneasel is my second favorite pokemon, so I was disappointed when I first saw it change to black and pink, but it quickly grew on me.

I might be alone on this but I'm not a huge fan of Houndour/Houndoom's shinies. It's not that they look bad, but I would prefer some different colours. They are hellhounds, so maybe a dark red colour body, black snout and gold horn/bones thingies?

My favorite is slugma and also i shiny hunting for one in the teal mask and i got two also while I was watching the video i was playing legend arceus and got a shiny whiscash out of a mass outbreak. Now shiny whiscash is not good like the the yellow changes to a pale Orange and the blue becomes darker but i kinda like it though if you're reading this comet you could make whiscash's lips and top fin and tail a yellow colour like it pvo barboach😊
