I never get tired of that intro and soundtrack. I’m also super glad they got the same composer and band from the anime to do the music for the live action show too.

I haven't watched the Netflix adaptation yet (I do plan to once I get a free moment), but I can kind of give you a reason why people are worried about this or just flat out don't like it. The anime is considered to be a masterpiece by quite a lot of people. Not just specifically due to things like its story or characters, but for just how well it's put together. The score, cinematography, literary elements, the overall artistic theme and concept (and obviously characters and story as well). It's built so meticulously that it's believed to be presented exactly as it was intended. So if someone already believes that the original is perfect as it was, then their immediate reaction to an adaptation would be negative for the simple idea that you can't improve upon perfection, only come up just short of it in the best case. And, for a few others, they might look at it as a stain on the reputation of something they hold in high regard. For me, personally, I'm holding my opinion on the live action until I watch it myself.

My issue with this adaptation, and anime adaptations in general is that they're never going to be better than the original. At most, it's equally as good (rare), a shot to shot copy (why make it?), or it's changed drastically enough that tying it in with the original can only hurt it's success. Especially with anime adaptations made with live action, since you're already missing a big part of the charm of the original when you take it out of the original medium. So why make such an adaptation other than milking money from the fans and the hype that it gets from being an adaptation of an existing and beloved piece of media? I would much prefer a show inspired by, or set in the same universe as the original.

Now, that, is a very fair point! Well done!

After watching them recently, the problem for me was just that they butchered some of the characters Some more than others
@ThreeShadesofWhatever2 жыл бұрын
Fair enough. It's gonna take me a bit to get both series, but, I'll post our thoughts when we do.

Some? Which ones do you consider accurate to they original counterparts?
@azurill_sun2 жыл бұрын
@@KaregoAt I wouldn't say accurate, but mostly inoffensive like Jet and Ed. And yes, that's what I consider inoffensive

The problem with the live action serie it's not that it's not like anime, it's just thaht it's a shit serie. Everyone as his own tasts but the live serie was really bad.... not only has an adaptation but as a serie alone

You guys don't get it. It sucks admit it.

I can't admit anything for two reasons. 1. The footage looks spot on in the trailer and 2. I haven't watched either, yet, lol.

I was looking forward to it, and I've only caught an episode or two on Cartoon Network back in the day so I watched the first episode. Meh, there's nothing wrong with it but I just don't find myself interested. I think I don't like the feel. It has this kung-fu flick mixed with a late 70s crime drama kinda feel (which I can see people liking but it just doesn't do it for me). I might give it another go.

The show is out guys, I would recommend you to react to the live action before the anime, it is a new perspective
@happiestaku66462 жыл бұрын
Why would you be so cruel?
@matheusflores6192 жыл бұрын
@@happiestaku6646 It's not cruel. Either if they like it or not. Watching the anime afterwards is a step-up. It's better than going from the best anime to an alright TV Show.

As a fan of the original when it first aired, I watched the netflix adaptation knowing it would be different. There were changes to the story that I didn't particularly like, but it didn't ruin the experience for me, I found this to be a really good netflix series. I would suggest watching the Netflix show first and then go back and watch the anime and movie.

I just finished watching the live action adaptation Cowboy Bebop. I loved it. There's bigots complaining. Not that I care what they think.
@happiestaku66462 жыл бұрын
So anyone who hates it is a bigot? That just makes you look dumb.
@angelo83042 жыл бұрын
I don't think the word "bigot" fits the context at all....
@happiestaku66462 жыл бұрын
@Angelo it doesn't, it is just a buzzword for someone to try and justify why someone doesn't like it when they have legitimate criticism.

too many otakus waifu reactors complaining about live action because they follow an easier path not a creative one!
