In the hair for men video you said long hair works for guys with masculine faces like Jason Momoa: "A masculine face is a requirement for long hair. No ifs or buts about it". In this video you said the feminine faced purple pants guy's long hair suits him and plays up his femininity... Care to comment? P.S. LOVE THE CHANNEL.
@QOVESStudio2 жыл бұрын
The similarity between both the masculine men in the hair for men examples and this man with the more feminine features is that they're both lean and have strong facial development. If you remember, in the hair for men video, the collorary example was someone who had high body fat who would not be suited for long hair. While in this video he does have more 'feminine features' make no mistake that there is nothing soft about his face and so in that sense it is still a masculine face, just not manly enough to be considered as masculine as Jason Momoa or Henry Cavil. Think of it like a spectrum with Feminine faces and Masculine faces on either side, purple pants would be on the masculine side but closer to the middle as he still has the facial leanness to show his angular features but has more feminine appeal with larger eyes, longer lashes, larger lips, etc. Men with higher bodyfat, especially in their face, have rounded corners and softer facial features (the opposite of sharp, angular and masculine; aka testosterone ornamentation) which makes them seem more feminine and hides their masculine bone development (such as a strong mandible body or defined browridge), these types of men would be on the other side with the feminine faces, but depending on their features could also lean more towards the middle. It is for these men that long hair would be unsuitable as they lack the masculine base in the form of defined leanness. Part of this is due to perceptions of long hair as being seen as unkempt, and so if you are high bodyfat on top of that it gives the impression that you do not take care of yourself.

I think it's kind of like the hair is part of the frame of the face. If the frame is very manly, then you can tone it down with long hair. If you have very manly features within this frame, then longer hair creates an interesting contrast. And if you have more feminine features, then it's just a coherent sort-of look.

I’m not convinced women “know intuitively what looks better for them”, maybe to some degree, but I think we just go through our “trial and error” phase much earlier than men in life. That’s why by the end of 8th grade there’s girls that look like full blown adults. Think of Danielle Cohn. There’s a lot of pressure on girls, mostly when they’re young though. I don’t feel that anymore but I’d like to protect future generations from being focused on looks at too young of an age

I agree. We’re taught to pick apart our looks since little kids, and you see it everywhere too, like if u were to look at a teenage girl’s KZfaq/TikTok/instagram recommended page a lot of it is beauty tips and makeup etc. There’s pressure for both men and women to look good, but when men finally realize this they’re “black pilled” and “looksmaxxing” yet it’s something most women have known and been doing their whole lives.

It often starts in the home, too. My mother was the first person to nitpick my appearance. Stretch marks, boobs, clothing, posture, weight, etc. She meant well (in her own misguided way) but it made me very conscious of how I presented myself when I was still growing up.

@tomato93812 жыл бұрын
@@woodlandelf8109 I believe that he has, I think he mentioned it once in another video. Also ftr, the gamine family in the kibbe body typing system is not necessarily the shortest. They have the same height limits as the Romantic family (and the short girl does look more like a romantic to me). Gamines also typically have a rather "coltish" appearance which often involves long limbs proportionally, hence why the short skirts tend to suit them! There are exceptions to this, however, and some gamines (usually soft gamines) will have short legs paired with a longer torso, although short limbs are still typically more of a characteristic of the romantic family

@@korahjean The lips should be sealed The tongue should rest against the entire hard palate of the mouth (the maxilla) - a suction force should hold the tongue there effortlessly (might feel weird at first - that's ok). Some suction holds are stronger than others, swallowing is a good way to create this hold since the tongue naturally presses against the roof of the mouth anyway when swallowing (don't push on the teeth though - if you're unsure what that feels like, push on them for a few seconds just to learn the feeling, then make sure you don't do it). Breathing through the mouth is impossible when you have a proper suction hold The head should be upright (not tilted back or anything like that - if you're used to tilting it back, your neck muscles might feel some strain when switching to upright posture, but that'll go away pretty fast). It's super easy, it becomes habit really quick, and it has a hugely beneficial impact on the skull (in health & beauty) over time since the position of the maxilla affects the entire skull (it even kinda feels good ngl)

I am really interested in the points you are making about posture, and wanted to ask something about that. In men, straight posture exudes confidence, couple that with eye contact you have a ‘typically’ attractive male. On the other hand, with women it seems to have an alternate effect? I am 5’7”, so above average for a woman’s height. Stand straight, am athletic and make eye contact….this though I’ve been told comes off as aggressive to some people, especially men. So is this a reflection on a male society that lacks confidence? Or an overly aggressive female(that being me😂)?
@seb______2 жыл бұрын
Generally society sees taller people as “stronger” and more “powerful” while shorter people are seen as “cute” and “weaker”. I think there were a study or an article, im not sure so dont quote me on it, about taller people getting more jobs than shorter people. I think it mightve been the amount of jobs and it’s found that taller people get more accepted jobs than shorter people or something along the lines
@aaronfrye30832 жыл бұрын
5'7" is not that tall, and IMO, standind straight is not a problem. You might be muscular, which makes you look more aggressive, but if you're lean fit, you should be looking okay. It might've something to do with other features than with your height and figure.

I agree 100%. You don't have to be attractive to recognize if another person is attractive. By the way just for the record he actually does show is face on the 1st video, and you know why he stopped doing it? Because of the people in the comments they were saying that he was conceited and arrogant. Yet sadly he explained why he used his own photos and that was because he said it would not be right for him to judge other people's looks, and not be judged himself. But you know people, they ignored him saying that and just focused on calling him arrogant.

I don't mean to offend anyone. As this video says, modeling needs certain type of body to showcase many different clothes. Brow ridge and slated forhead are the main atributes if the browridge is prominent you will have more hooded eyes. (the forehead is often slanted when the browridge is prominent )
@C4LicoKiT2 жыл бұрын
Hooded eyes all have an upper lid whose crease is covered by skin. It makes the lid space from crease to lash line very small or even absent. For people who wear makeup, it's difficult for the eye makeup to show when the eye is open because much of it is hidden under that skin flap. Eyes without a hood have a very clearly defined crease with little to no skin overlapping it, even when the eye is open.

So you don’t always have to wear longer, A-lined skirts as a shorter woman. My niece is 5’2 and 110lbs. Skinny clothes look amazing on her but her mom who is 5’4 and 180lbs doesn’t look good in tight fitting clothes. She looks better in longer, skimming clothes.
