The kenobi show has the problem that kenobi on tatooin as a hermit is not an interesting setting. And its supposed to be uninteresting. I know that there is a eu novel to fill the time. If i were disney, i would make a leia show. Leia has an interesting life before a new hope and disney could get creative.

Screw this series. Vader orders the entire ship to turn around for Obi-Wan, letting the rebels go, (instead of using a magnetic beam, or sending tie-fighters, or just keep firing...)... but ends up getting into his shuttle and flying after it himself , thus missing out on the rebels for no reason at all. Obi-Wan trusts Leia to some random rogue who has already seeded his transmitter... The duel with Vader is miserable. They wave their swords like baseball bats in episode 9, and the Force has generally turned into an anime - they crush rocks and make craters in the ground, but they can’t break each other’s bones in the same way ... they can withstand the blows of multi-ton boulders ... Obi-Wan, without jokes, becomes a god thanks to the power of friendship and lifts weight much more than Yoda ... at some point he hits Vader with the HILT of the sword ... cuts his back, but that doesn’t paralyse him ... and most importantly, he doesn’t finish him off for the second time, although he himself said his friend is dead... Vader does not call the cruiser to shoot down Obi-Wan's ship, but it turns out that he has a hyperdrive, which makes the whole last episode even more pointless, since he and Leia could fly to Alderaan on it all this time already at the end of episode 4 .. . Owen and Beru do not set any traps for Reva in the doors, they only shoot her one at the time, do not catch up with her on a speeder, do not evacuate on the speeder, do not call the local police, the same Jabba the Hutt (with the promise of money), and Luke is advised to run on foot into the desert, to the Tuskens... Apparently Vader just left Reva a ship…Reva with a hole in her HEART can easily fight, run and carry weights ... And finally, she, who cuts off the hands of all those who disagree, throws knives at people, kills everyone in her path, hunts the Jedi trying to kill them, tortures a 10-year-old child , suddenly cannot kill Luke, because he sees himself in him (but not in Leah) ... by the way, why? Does she know he's Vader's son? How? And Obi-Wan forgives her, although he saw what she was doing and Tala died because of her... Now the whole Empire knows that Bail Organa communicates with Obi-Wan, they are looking for him all over the galaxy, but at the same time Obi-Wan quietly flies to Alderaan to chat with Leia... Obi-Wan communicates with Luke, although Owen told him in A New Hope that he died at the same time as his father ... Qui-gon, it turns out, can appear without any meditation, but the whole series did not do this ... As a result - Obi-Wan, Owen, Beru, Bale failed their missions to protect children, and they are only alive because the Empire and Vader are even more incompetent, and Reva suddenly became kind ... and now we are waiting for a series about her ... Thank you Disney, now you've ruined every single character in the original trilogy. Star Wars is long dead, and there's no more room for nails in the coffin. As I expected, Reva's motives make no sense. She saw that Vader killed her friends, therefore...she is angry at Obi-Wan who trained him for not saving her? (Why didn't he just say "I was on Utapau, attacked by clones"?) And therefore she serves Vader, hunts all remaining Jedi, tries to kill them, chops hands off and tortures a child to find the Rebels? She is a horrible person and I cheered when she was stabbed...but then she lived.

i would argue that even with 200 Jedi to a few dozen being around during the final days of the empire makes sense it also would still make sense why Luke it heir only hope. the reason for this is because he is Vader's son.. one of the surviving Jedi would have been powerful enough to confront Vader and live. hell even Ahsoka couldn't and she was probably in the top 5 most powerful remaining Jedi things get even worse when you realize that if those few dozen managed to kill Vader some how and greatly reduced their numbers in the process. the emperor was even more powerful than Vader. no one could take him on without Vader's help. i think Ahsoka and Vader could have taken the emperor out. but the reason Luke was the only hope was because Luke was Vader's son and just as if not slightly less powerful than Vader. he was the only one able to turn Vader against the emperor. that is why he would still remain the only hope even if there were a few hundred Jedi running around. just to prove my point in episode 3 Sidious effortlessly took out 3 Jedi councilmembers in a single attack.. where talking about the most powerful Jedi in the entire order here. he struggled with windu but only because he was toying with the Jedi. and because he needed Anakin to see and believe he was needed by palpateen. in that time Sidious became even more powerful so what would a dozen comparably insignificantly and weakly trained Jedi going to do against him.

I started out liking the series--when I had only seen the first two episodes. But as it went on, I saw too many flaws with the story, and then I could no longer forgive the flaws of the first two episodes. And I finally concluded that the whole series should not have happened. I don't care if Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor are together again. If the story isn't that good, it just isn't that good. When Bail asked Obi Wan to go rescue Leia, Obi Wan should have said, "With all due respect, Senator, there's too much Inquisitor activity on Tatooine for me to leave right now. My duty is to Luke." And that should have been it. Ahsoka would have been in charge of Bail's spy network, some people pointed out. Was she unavailable? If there was no one else he could trust besides Obiwan--or specialists under his command--Bail's Resistance is in sorry shape. And he doesn't know any other exiled Jedi?

i wonder why you don't bring up Maul's death in Rebels to Obi-Wan. that makes it very hard to have him meet Obi-Wan considering their dialogue before their final duel.

This has to be the worst star wars show to date. From the first episode on it keeps dropping, breaking lore, characters and logic as it goes. The story can only happen because everyone involved has lost their brain - Obi Wan should nver help Bail - a guy who basically owns the ressources of an entire planet. Bail is in charge for Leia, Obi Wan for Luke - its not hard to understand. The story could have been an interesting chracter study, following Obi Wan regaining his strength and faith, but we had to go on an 'epic adventure' and of course... meet vader. Choreos, scene composition, CGI and camerawork are mid to atrocious - what a waste of Chung-hoon. The characters are thin and act nonsensical - Reva tries to get revenge for her killed friends by... becoming a psychopathical killer? Thats complex right? Obi Wan is sad and depressed - good so how does he - oh he just... gets over it... because he wants to. Leia? Idc, she can be the greatest detective the world has seen in one scene and have an iq below room temperature in the next - thats not character writing - thats a plotdevice, a talking walking macguffin. Vader is edgy. No really he is exactly the character a 13 year old would imagine - look he strangles and kills random people in the street - and he is a total idiot... chasing Obi Wan with his ship but then going to face his old master alone... and don't tell me he wants to "beat him fair". Vader has no consistant motivation, he exists and does whatever fan fic stuff the writers need him to do. Good that your brought back Hayden for such a meaningful role. The only rebel character I remember is Wade... may he rest in peace. I ramble too much, but this show is just frustrating when looking at it as a writer... or a person with slightest brain functions and knowledge of the world. The force has recieved Dragonball level of Powerups - people throwing boulders - Vader pulling back a ship - all of this would create so much trouble for following stories. The only reason people believe they enjoyed this was because there was some good acting and because of nostalgia... and thats sad. Its sad that people keep giving these writers a pass - tell them its ok to throw some words on a page one afternoon and call it a day. Because thats how it feels - there is no substance to anything, no deep interesting interactions, conversations, no schemes nothing. Its all empty... and it will stay this way, because peopple enjoy 'hello there' and Vader igniting his lightsaber - why even try to tell stories? I will not proof read this, apologies - I wrote this in one go.

I regret spending every min of watching this show. I really want to like it since obi wan is sure one of my favorite characters but It adds nothing good to the lore for me. It would be better without. Like most of the disney star wars content. The cinematography is bad, the story is bad, the dialog is bad, and even the score is mediocre. I would give it a 2/10 or something like that.

I regret watching this tv show, it was complete waste of time. There are teleporting people around because plot needs them to be there, we have sith who in episode 1 don't use mind reading abilities to find out who is the JEDI even tho in episode 2 they READ MINDS... 5-10 year old girl running faster than adults, people falling over dust particles in air, jumping off roof that would 100% lead to your death and you still do it... you are literally 15 meters away from transport ship to take you off the planet and you know you are being chased by everyone in this town...[insert dumb idea] you decide to stop walking... yes walking because you were not running for your life... so you stop to talk between each other letting inquisitor show up from nowhere in less than it took you to get there to surprise you... i could go on and on with holes in this series and plots that made no sense... [ like in sith base you walk out with kid under coat ] 1/10 score UPDATE: I refuse to belive that Vader having just extinguish fire in front of him would let Obi get dragged away by android because there is fire in front of him again... and he decides to watch him get dragged away... i REFUSE to give better score just because some characters that we liked in different movies are here... this is not a reason to pump the score up of this show or movie... judge the show by what it is... and lets be honest its a failure... UPDATE2: i talked to friend who i play with and he defended this tv series like his life depended on it... honestly

I'll save you an hour and fourty minutes, it's terrible. Except for the Vader battle that is.

My thoughts on this series are that, overall, I thought it was genuinely good and worthwhile. It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot, and it had its fair share of bad and ridiculous scenes. However, it also has a great deal of good and even great scenes as well. I thought it captured Obi Wan’s isolation really well. People saying that he’s too weak and cowardly are wrong IMO: the Republic has fallen, the Jedi are no more, his best friend betrayed him, of course he’s going to struggle with that. Personally I would rather have a main character who needs to overcome fear and weakness to a Mary Sue who can just do everything from square 1.

The amount of garbage being pumped out ensures that interest in star wars will continue to demimish rapidly. Deliberately poorly written material like Velma will seep into the star wars franchise. Abusive "woke" ideology will continue to bring poor writing as will gaslighting fans. Star wars is pretty much over. The movies will make their billions. Once.
