Let's Talk Steam Traps.
Since the Armstrong Inverted Bucket Steam Trap was brought to market in 1911, the energy-saving performance of steam traps applying the inverted bucket engineering principle is legendary.
Armstrong offers a full range of steam traps as well as the remarkable trap valve station (TVS) to integrate valves and traps into one versatile package for quicker installation, simplified testing and faster maintenance.
Armstrong International has released an FREE updated interactive 40 minutes course on Steam Traps. The course objectives are: Learn the purpose of steam traps -- Explore steam trap types -- Learn how to size and select steam traps -- Identify typical maintenance and preventive measures Check it out here: store.armstronginternational.c...

This just goes to show that you don't need fancy 3D computer graphics to clearly explain and demonstrate technical concepts.

This is so right, everyone is going crazy with:" Smart Class, Laptops, Tablets, E Learning, Graphics" and all that ineffective BS, just because it involves computers doesn't mean it's necessarily better, however things like this and the ability to find research papers, patents and collaborate with research scientists is the real deal.

In the inverted bucket, where is the output of steam?
@ArmstrongInternational
@ArmstrongInternational 6 жыл бұрын
On any type of steam trap, including the inverted bucket steam trap, there is no output of steam. The main purpose of the steam trap is to trap the steam into the system (heat exchanger, coil, etc) allowing it to transfer its latent heat. On the outlet of the steam trap you should only see condensate, air and non-condensable gases. When the condensate goes from higher pressure to lower pressure it will flash so you might see some flash steam also on the outlet of the trap. Please let us know if you'd like more information. We're happy to share our knowledge!

Cool video, informational. Velan Steam Traps are way better and much more reliable, efficient and cost saving. Armstrong bucket traps literature admits their trap leaks live steam every time it operates.

Alexander Manz they are pretty needy if you have less than perfect boiler water. The channels are prone to clogging. The simplicity is the selling point.
