You guys probably forgot, but Senku's dad mentioned in space that his son (senku) was the one that made the space ramen. Senku didn't learn it from his dad.

The show/manga doesn't explain it, but the device Senku used to throw the flashbang into the air is called an Atlat (or a spear thrower)l: It's a projectile weapon that acts as an extension of your throwing arm and an additional pivoting point that makes your arm act like a lever to add way more power to the throw. These were common in Prehistoric Europe and Asia as a tool for hunting, but were largely supplanted by bows and arrows (which have more range but less power then Atlatl). However, in the Americas, both bows and atlatl continued to be pretty common as hunting and projectile weapons in warfare: The term "Atlatl" comes from the Aztec language, Nahuatl, where the Atlatl was actually seen as the more refined and sophisticated weapon associated with earlier great civilizations like the Toltec that the Aztec viewed as the progenitors of complex society and the arts and sciences (like how the Romans viewed the Greeks, etc); wheras the bow was seen as the more primitive and simplistic tool associated with nomadic tribes to the north (not that Aztec never used the bow at all, and other civilizations in Mesoamerica didn't all have that stereotype about bows either: The Purepecha empire, for example, was the third largest state in the Americas after the Inca and Aztec and completely demolished attempted Aztec invasions in the mid 15th century in part because they made smart use of bows, leveraging their superior range with defensive tactics) I do stuff on Mesoamerican history and archeology (I help a few channels with videos on the topic, like Invicta or Ancient Americas, who actually has a really good video on the Purepecha Empire), so it was cool to see here, though sadly, again, Senku doesn't explain it at all, and other Mesoamerican things don't come up much at all in Dr. Stone. Although the overall "crafting" side of the plot got sped up, I feel like with the theme of s2 being a war it's really fitting. I actually really like s2's pacing. Conflict after conflict happen each episode, and it's overall more high-tension. Ep 1 of s2 was one of the best way to start a season. Gen's declaration that he and Senku will go to hell is actually one of the series' most iconic lines, and it's deserved. Why? Here comes my usual lengthy notes. Be prepared to learn some Japanese XD. So Gen's "Ishigami Senku and Asagiri Gen will go to hell together" line is special for two reasons: 1) is his choice of words. He didn't simply say he and Senku will fall to hell together. Rather than using the usual vocab for 'together', "tomo ni", he used "futari nakayoku" (roughly translates to "(the) two (of) us, getting along") instead. "Nakayoku" means "to get along" in general, but depending on context it can reflect different depths of feelings involved in a social relationship. It can be super detached and casual or it can be "I will follow you to the depths of hell" serious. I guess you can guess which is it in this case XD. (Fun fact: the "naka" in "nakayoku" is the same "naka" used in "nakama"). The fact that he used "futari nakayoku" along with the falling to hell sentence gives it both a lighthearted tone and a serious tone. On one hand, Gen makes it sound like a lighthearted happy field trip. On the other hand, he's also saying he's willing to go down with Senku no matter what, which is really something considering how he presents himself as a very superficial and self-serving man. 2) the usage of kanji. So if you can't read Japanese, you won't know that Gen's name isn't written like the usual Japanese name. In both the manga and the light novels his name is almost always written as "あさぎりゲン", in hiragana and katakana (Japan's simpler, basic alphabetical system) rather than in kanji. While there are Japanese people who use hiragana or katakana in their legal name, it is usually only for their first name and NOT for their family name. But since this is anime/manga, a quirky spelling like this won't be too weird for a character like Gen. Right? Except, it is revealed in that manga page that Gen's name does in fact have a kanji spelling, "浅霧幻". THIS is the legal spelling of his name. "あさぎりゲン" is just his stage name; the spelling he used for his branding during his time as a famous magician. The thing is, the ONLY time in the manga Gen's name was written with "浅霧幻" is when he said "Ishigami Senku and Asagiri Gen will gladly go to hell together". This shows a whole lot of literature nuance that gets lost in translation and textless adaptations. The fact that Gen used his real name when he said this means that he's being his most transparent and sincere self, without any pretenses. He *means* it, more than anything else he ever said. It's even more meaningful because Gen never used his real name in any other instance of the story, as if he's constantly wearing a mask. This absolute honesty and loyalty is given to Senku and him alone. So it really is perfect timing when you said Gen has gone from the untrustworthy character to one of your favorites in this episode lmao XDD. One of Gen's main charms is his duality between his playful, shallow side and his deep, serious side; and how he constantly switch between the two or hide his deeper intentions under seemingly light words. He is just so splendidly written. No wonder he's arguably THE most beloved character in the series by us fans :") Thanks for the reaction guys, and see you in the next dr. stone update XD.

Its hard to get anime quality same as DrStone I mean . Its episode series type but felt like the score inside give movie vibe . It got the best vibe kick in instantly. Move emotion easy and simple . The very culmination being of human in dire situations interactions just historical. Its hard to say other anime can compare to this one
