Unlike most reactors, I like how quickly you picked up on Garp doing this as a sort of “wake-up call” to Luffy rather than _just_ doing it for the Navy like a lot of reactors I’ve seen read the scene.

These guys might be the first I've seen outside of like one other group to catch Garp calling Luffy by his pirate name.

This is the moment why the marines will try way harder to kill luffy while the WB pirates want to protect him. Its about the potential he has not that coc haki has been used in general

I don't think "OP" is the right way to describe Marco. At the end of the day he can't really damage the admirals even with all the free hits he got in the arc. He was too annoying to deal with (as Kizaru basically said) so they just nerfed him to remove the issue. Also the handcuffs are probably nerfed so that the df users can still walk on their own. Otherwise Robin would have been out the entire Enies Lobby arc.

Marco downplay has never made sense to me. Probably the only time in the series we ever see Marco genuinely overpowered is at the hands of Lin Lin.

@@TheThugnificant The reason for him being physially overpowered only twice (Linlin and Garp) is because we almost never see anybody attack him and when we do it's always a terrible wound that he survives from because he can heal. Marco has a good defensive devil fruit. But just because he can survive against the top tiers doesn't mean that he is actually anywhere near as powerful as they are. It would be different if he could clash with the strongest people without having to heal himself, but the fact that he repeatedly has to rely on his df to survive AND isn't shown to ever actually damage the top tiers even a little bit means that he isn't offensively that powerful. Marco is a good support character, even great in 1 vs 1, but he is not top tier and that's all I'm saying. The series itself has never pretented that he was either, so I don't see what the problem is. My personal experience is that fandom has always overhyped Marco ever since Marineford. Even though he barely accomplishes anything except landing a few free hits on admirals who weren't even focused on him and who are shown to be completely okay afterwards.

@@thornray1025 Kizaru was attacking Marco directly with a named attack before getting kicked across Marineford. He kicked Aokiji across a battlefield. He fought and pressed King and Queen in a 2v1 and clashed evenly with Linlin and Prometheus. And with the new info about the Admirals physical abilities Marco launching them around becomes even more significant. Marco was a Yonko candidate so the series never pretending he's a top tier is nonsense. Mind you he was only briefly subdued in Marineford by an Admiral working together with a Vice Admiral using Seastone cuffs. I maintain that the Marco downplay has always been baseless and insane

@@TheThugnificant And here it comes: "Marco is a god because Marineford" argument. Put your seatbelt on, here we go: Marco kicks Kizaru and Aokiji away. That is correct. Let's observe shall we. Kizaru is in the mid air while Marco flies towards him. As far as we know Kizaru can't fly and has shown to need a charge time to launch himself elsewhere, so when Marco flies at him, it's physically impossible for him to dodge since he is in midair. Marco kicks Kizaru and sends him flying. Then later when Aokiji is attacking Luffy Marco flies in and kicks Aokiji away. Sounds impressive? Well... Kizaru did block with his hand but since he had no momentum behind him unlike Marco, he got send flying. That's how physics work. Then he gets up and isn't shown to have taken any damage, his clothes aren't dirty, he isn't sweating, he doesn't even have a worried look on his face. How about Aokiji? Well Aokiji was completely focused on Luffy when Marco comes in and rams at his side and sends him flying. Aokiji doesn't even visibly block (though invisible armament haki was likely used) and he isn't shown to have taken any damage when we next time see him. Then Marco and Vista jump Akainu together and are unable to deal any damage on him. Then when Whitebeard has passed after dealing two direct hits on Akainu, all the remaining commander (Marco included) + Crocodile face the wounded Akainu and next time we see him he has defeated one of the commanders (Curiel) while he hasn't received any new visible wounds despite the group he's fighting against. Marco sure is impressive. How you've opened my eyes! Sending two people flying who either couldn't avoid getting hit or didn't even try to block in any way and still doing no visible damage that was shown to the audience. Making a person move when you ram at them with full force without them pushing back at all isn't impressive even in real life, why is that a big deal now? If you're going to worship Marco simply for sending top tiers flying then how about pre-timeskip Luffy and Whole Cake Island Jimbei? In Long Ring Long Land Luffy and Aokiji have their 1 vs 1 duel and Luffy sends Aokiji flying with one single kick. Was he admiral level back then in your opinion? In WCI Jimbei punches Big Mom so hard that she's pushed of Thousand Sunny. Yonko level Jimbei? Either Marco kicking people who couldn't do anything about it while dealing no visible damage IS impressive and pre-timeskip Luffy and WCI Jimbei are all admiral levels at minimum OR It isn't impressive, Marco is completely carried by his df ability that keeps him alive even when punching above his weight class, but isn't shown to possess physical strength to actually injure the top tiers. I maintain that Marco overhype has always been baseless and insane.

What are you talking about? The difference between magma and lava is the location and nothing else. If it's underground, it's magma, if it's on the surface, it's lava. And how hot fire is compared to lava/magma depends on what is burning. Fire can be hotter, but it rarely is.
