Leta Drake had a talent for turning interviews into crap. She always claimed it was because she was confident. It was because she was just rude. Her ego was way too big for her small town television market of Lincoln, and she probably would've been fired if she hadn't also been the program director. It's sad that her rudeness from her oversized ego is her legacy.

Here’s another lady that had a ego problem a lot of people on one day at a time besides Valerie Bertinelli would say she got along with him costars that were on the show did not get along with her very well she was another control freak and even the one day at a time was groundbreaking Bonnie Franklin was not and it’s unfortunate that when they brought Mary Louise Wilson in she N Bonnie clashed immediately and Mary asked to be released from our contract other people that run the show did not get along with the reader so you know what you see on the screen is not always what you say

Your comment is confusing...no punctuation and one long running sentence. Are you saying Bonnie had an ego problem?? If so, I hope age mellowed and humbled her in her later years.

Lisa P......I was wondering what the hell was being said in the comment as well . Makes no sense what so ever. I just know I loved Bonnie Franklin and all the others on One Day At A Time. 🌞

Well this weekend I finally was able to view season two of ODAT and, I must say, it was quite obvious that in the episodes with 'Ginny' (Mary Louise Parker) that in many of their scenes together the character had stronger lines and much more camera time than the 'Ann' character. There were two episodes that centered around Ginny. But other episodes where she appeared, it seemed the writers had her dominating the conversations. I understand how this could have caused Bonnie some annoyance. It is good both actresses were able to maintain professionalism when the cameras were rolling. They were both part of an excellent cast! ❤

@@Stage3Survivor65 It was Mary Louise Wilson. She actually reconsidered at the last minute and wanted to stay but Norman Lear released her by her request..
