Hi - I am having fun making this Glue Book Junk Journal from an altered book. This is my first attempt at making a glue book, but I thought it makes a really nice and interesting junk journal. It's very lovely, with glue booking it doesn't matter how you want it there is no right or wrong way because it's what you see and like in your brain :) very good work I enjoyed it . I'm also just starting as well so gave me some ideas to go with.

I just started a glue book/ journal in the last year. I play in it when i have time. I decided i was making it for myself and i was going to put all the things i love in it.i have been able to get 8 pages done. I guess i have been rather busy.. But i pulled it out the other night and did a couple pages . i love the freedom of the glue book. It really brings me so much joy... Then tonight i ran across your video . i love watching all your videos and have watched you for years so nice to watch you work in your glue/journal book❤👍🤗

I love the glue booking with the photo and the coloured children's drawing. Have just done the same sort of thing with my book A Companion to the British Countryside. As I don't want to cut anything out I have to copy and print

I'm pretty sure you count too, so if you love this others will also, and your audience might change, that is ok too, I get tired of the same people doing the same things and move on anyway. So this change is fun. I like less fussy and less stress

This is really a lovely item, your glue book. I am impressed with the way you wield those very large scissors, cutting out those small pieces! A copy of this book on eBay is going for $80. Another is offered there from the UK for $279.00 or so. 1/2/21. Wow!!

I do have a glue book, and I have been attempting a junk journal but I've been struggling with that because I tend to want to match and coordinate and I gather that's not what a junk journal is. But watching this video, I like your team Hybrid Journal and i feel so much better about what i thought was a "fail"!

I grabbed your new glue book digis as soon as I saw them available. They are adorable. I do have a glue book, but it's done in journal/altered book form. I took an old unused sketch of my son's and just started collaging stuff onto it. I mostly use magazine fodder for it. Now I want to do one like this and like your collage book from last week. *lol* Thanks for sharing!

Just learnt about glue books the other day...had never heard of it before. Sounds like a lot of fun! So I am in my starting blocks to make one myself! (Don't know if you say that in English...I translated word by word from Swedish) I came across this tutorial tonight and it is very inspirational, because what I had in mind was exactly this...to combine the glue book with journaling! You also gave me the courage to finally put scissors to those gorgeous books I have in my hobby book shelf! Your glue book/journal is turning out absolutely lovely! TFS 🤗🌻🦋

No children at home but 17 acres of property let’s us outside doing various things today I sat and brushed the dog while watching you lol. Sunny with beauty clouds and the swans are back at the bird sanctuary. Other than the mud and rain it’s been much better with sunshine and a nice breeze.

Oh Tina these are sooooo gorgeous. I have a glue book already going and I put my favourite images in it. Yesterday I pulled out and used a page because I finally found a project that deserved the image I had been hoarding. I’ve decided I need another one for just general work, thinking my book was nice until I saw this fantastic effort. I cannot believe how wonderful your book is looking. Love it. I’m doing the hundred day challenge and I’m a bit behind but I’m loving it. You can’t do everything. Thanks again for the wonderful inspiration. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖ps I think I’ll use some old photos that are unidentified and and some gorgeous colour images like you have done. 🥰

I just love your ideas, and you have such a pleasant speaking voice (and the accent may help too). I just LOVE the book you are using too. Instead of worrying about finding a second copy of the book, why not scan the pages or even photocopy them? Then you could use both sides of the pages, and if you scan them you could use them over and over again. I can hardly wait to see what you are up to next. Best wishes from across the pond :)

I don’t like the butterfly cut in half. It’s purpose was to bring in the black and white. It’s a no go for me. However I love everything else. Great idea and I have tons of things to make one. Again Thanks for sharing.

Glue Books are fun to make and use. They can be used in so many ways. They are known to be relaxing for both adults and kids, which is just great for the times we are in. Many can be found on Etsy. Thanks for sharing your process.

Hi Tina, I've started an altered book that will be a glue book. I did the painted pages. They are all different so should make it interesting when I start the gluing. I haven't shown it on my channel yet. But I will once all the pages are painted. Yours is lovely. I can't wait to see the progression.❤

I just discovered this video...I right away went to Ebay to find the book you were cutting the beautiful illustrations from. Over $600! Then I checked Amazon....over $900! I do hope you are aware of the beautiful treasure you have. Your glue book is going to be fabulous!

These are wonderful!! But, oh, no, no, no, not THAT book. It’s just so amazing! You can use a glue book as a journal. Leave some blanks on your pages, as you did on the first page you showed us. Put cards inside the pages, (in envelopes, or pockets) that can be used for journaling. It can be whatever you wish.

I love this series of glue book videos. Thank you! It's a whole lot easier to cut out small images and detailed images with small scissors and then you can turn the paper rather than the scissors.

I love the contrast between the bright childhood images with the black and white adult images. To me it really shows how easily we can lose our childish wonder if we’re not careful. That may not be what you intended, but that’s how it speaks to me. Love it!!

I just love making & using Glue Books! It is a new project form this year. Those mice are adorable! I sometimes use a larger book to really play with more of the surrealistic genre . It sure is fun to see different takes on the idea of a glue book. I'll take a look at Pinterest to call up Glue Books.....THANKS!!💌

You can scan the pictures and then print them out on your printer

I would call this an old-fashioned Scrapbook....the kind we did as kids. I started one a while back & called it ‘My Book of Me’...ie...just stuff I liked.

Take the pages and copy them on your printer that way you can use both sides and use them over and over.😊

Tina-- a couple things- make sure you are taking out some pages from that book or it will alligator mouth really quickly. Also--- GET OUT THAT GLUE STICK!!! You are gluing paper to paper--- it will stick if you put glue all the way around the piece- get some glue on the outer edge, too. But it will give you so much practice with your glue stick-- before you know it- you will be an expert and the glue stick will become your best friend!!

Brandy Thompson my understanding of a glue book isn’t to have the perfect collage, it is to just glue in images you love in whatever manner pleases you, no perfection or over thinking required. Just playing with things you love freely otherwise it really isn’t a glue book. These pages really made me smile. 💚😊💚

Mmm.. this is a long time after your vlog and I'm sure it's too late to save the Treasury of Verse, but I would point out that it's worth finding out (maybe via Abe Books or similar), how much a particular book might really be worth to others. This particular book cannot be bought for less than £15 rising up to £350 for what is probably a first edition. Lovely though the images are, it would be sheer vandalism to have found yourself cutting up a sought-after work which others would enjoy left in its entirety. I've started making it a practice to investigate all used books I bring home from charity shops, reminding myself always of those happy people who turn up every so often on The Antiques Road Show and similar, with an item they thought was worthless but proves to be an exclusive find!

I had never heard of a glue book til I started watching you and it will be such a perfect way to keep images I treasure all in one place. I love old childrens books and also the Daphnes Diary magazine so I shall be preserving these tye of images in a glue boook now. My new craft for lockdown is doing the Stamperia cartonnage kits, not cheap but so rewarding and will make great presents. xx

I loved your glue book... I have been doing pretty much the same type of mixed media art journaling books. They are pretty much the same idea... I love doing this. It opens you up to all sorts of possibilities.. and different ways of expressing oneself. Please continue doing these ...🌸🌸
