Chris, I'm in Ithaca New York, that's about 20 north of the New York/Pennsylvania border. in the last 12 hours I got about 10 inches of snow, the plows are out here - I don't have to worry about any rain - everything is Frozen and the roads are very poor even with four wheel drive. Be thankful for that wet rainy weather you got, it could be worse.

Love your variety of work that you do but I would suggest that you lay all of your bigger stuff on top of your small stuff as much as possible this way it gets the stumps burning much better especially if the smaller roots are facing upward helps dry out the dirt even more and you can get rid of more thanks for the videos love them all you're really smooth with all your machinery

You have thrown in a few comments in on your feelings about fuel prices this week. At times like these...I know the importance of a good and efficient operator could not be more needed. Watching you throw that DF on the pile to get it blazing reminds me of the time I almost became a crispy critter. I decided after that fuster cluck I decided it would a good idea to use a pump up sprayer. Works pretty good and it was a lot safer.

Few years ago I threw a few good splashes of used motor oil on a reluctant brushfire. Completely forgot that I has also added some stale gasoline to the jug. The gas evaporated out of the oil as soon as it hit the fire, and I was surrounded in a huge fireball! Fortunately there was snow on the ground and I just bailed face down in it. Other than singed eyebrows and a bit of “sunburn”, no harm done. Sure learned that lesson though!

Here where I'm at in Vermont, you'd need to get a burn permit and have the fire department on location with you for the burn day. It's always fun being on standby for a burn pile (in my opinion) because it's amazing the sheer amount of heat it throws off and the speed with which it burns
