I really hope you never tire of posting on KZfaq. Pretty amazing that you've been sharing for 13 years and still give fresh content even if it's bitching about mud and smoke in the same breath.

When the wind is coming from behind as the air flow around the machine a low pressure area is formed in front of the machine between it and the fire. The smoke is sucked into the low pressure area.

4- 10 hr days / 1 man and machine? WoW! A beautiful transition and no comparison between the before and after Chris. 👍👍That's a fair bit of work in a short off /on time span, mostly in bad wet weather. You call it having a touch of OCD, I call it a man utilizing a grading bucket like a cake spatula and achieving spectacular landscaping results. No doubt in my mind , you're the best / tidiest operator I've ever seen. The property owners must be more than happy with the results as money well spent. Congrats again on the Excavator recovery.., in one month, now enjoying a whopping 7.3 million views!

I don’t care how good a person is at clearing ground, they will never get every little stick. Even a ruckus rake will leave sticks and rocks behind. The only way to get them is to pick them up by hand. You always leave the ground as clean as possible. When you’re finished the job site always looks neat and well graded even when you’re dealing with mud. Great job and video as always.

The Number one rule with an open fire is- no Matter where you stand, you will get Smoke in your direction! If you did a fire Like that up here in Ontario Canada, you would need a Fire Permit and then pay 10 to 15 firemen and 3 firetrucks to stand nearby in case it got out of hand!
@Blazer02LS3 жыл бұрын
There are places like that in the US as well.
@ConstructionMachineryChannel3 жыл бұрын

I live in the same state as Chris and in my county all you have to do is stop somewhere that provides a burning permit and have them fill it out and give it to you. I get them at a gas station. Don't even have to notify the fire department. You only need the burning permit during the day, between 4PM and 6AM you don't have to have one. Don't know if that is state wide or if its different for individual counties so I'm not sure how it works for Chris's county. 👍

Your machine makes a wind block, as the wind blows around you , it makes a low pressure area right in front of you. So the hot air will move in towards you! Same thing happens when sit at a camp fire, smoke blows away, then you sit down then blows right at you.
@ronaldheit1963 жыл бұрын
Another very entertaining vid by Chris. This one was a fairly long series. No doubt some of it really drove Chris to the very edge of his patience. Especially the smoke and mud. We all know how mud is his number one nemesis. That property definitely quadrupled in value just cleaning up the pond and surrounding area. It's gonna be a beautiful place to live for sure. The field off to the left looks like the perfect place to build a baseball field.

That brush is how we made our bush haul roads.Made a 18 to 20 foot wide mat.Then make the ditch line and use that material to top the brush mat.So once it was dry then it was gravelled.Some times the swamps would be half way up the tracks.We world set logs in front of our progress to walk on and built the road base with turned over stumps and limbs and knock over big poplar trees or any small trees we could find. Sometimes we made really fast and sometimes it took a while to go across the swamp.So I know what you mean by hating mud.
