Yes, still on my 3030 and have had much success on running hogs. Super quick target acquisition; the 2.5 is close enough to a 1X that you get a great sight picture immediately. Dialing it up to eight is also nice I could’ve gone slightly larger on the high-end but for the range that I typically use this gun it’s perfect.

@@freedomlover425 I have not made any adjustments since I mounted it and set zero. It comes with the option to get a free custom cut elevation dial based on your cartridge but with a 3030 I didn’t see the need. It has been to the range three times and out in the field twice. I will be taking it to the range in the next month for the fall tuneup and can report back but so far so good. I would mention that for initial zero I had to remove the elevation turret completely to be able to spin it enough to get where I needed it.

@@freedomlover425 Went to the range last week holding zero great adjusted one click still right on the money, 1 1/2 inches high at 100 where I left it after the last hog trip. 3030 160 gr. About to test some 150 gr tomorrow

Talley Makes one-piece integrated rings/bases for Marlin (www.talleymanufacturing.com/product/marlin-lever-action-scope-mounts/) . They are very helpful if you call them. I don't know if that will get you where you need to be, though they do make extra low. You could add a cheek riser (I have never really liked them), on Etsy you can find them that match the look of the gun. Good luck!

@@lessforloans I got extra low for my Henry. I can measure from top of receiver to center of glass for you. I imagine the Marlin would be set up the same way. Basically there’s no way you’re going to avoid losing some cheek weld to put glass on these things they are really designed for open sites. Have you considered a Skinner Peepsight? I thought about it but just decided I like the glass. I will shoot you a measurement in about 20 minutes.

@@hmongmeskas7445 OK great now that I understand I am happy to help you. The first two numbers with the dash in between them: the first number is the smallest magnification, the second is the largest. So your scope will magnify up to four times and mine will go up to eight which would bring you effectively twice as close as yours. However the fact that yours has a lower low setting has its advantages because it makes it faster to get on target particularly for fast moving targets or close range. The last number 20 versus 36 is the size of the big lens at the end of the scope which can translate to the light gathering capabilities of the glass. happy to get into more of this about understanding the light that can transmit to your eyeball but I think I have answered your first question.
