Perfect instructions. I wasn't able to use the key to pop open the two have of the fob, but I was able to easily do the same thing with a small flathead screwdriver.

Point of correction you can drive your Lexus with the emergency key as long it’s in the car when the battery is low, you need to get the remote close to the key starter the car will start.

Using this to replace the shell of my wife's lexus... our puppy got a hold of it and chewed the shit out of it. Thinking I was going to have to spend $200 for an entire new fob, I was pleasntly suprised that the inner board is unscathed. Just the outter shell with through hell. Now I have a shell on order for $15 bucks (OEM) and new key gloves (OEM). And will be a simple two minute swap! Thank you!

Good video, thank you. You mention you cannot start your car with the dead battery in the key fob. Actually you can start the car. The key you removed from the key fob can be used to start the car. The push button on the dash can easily be popped out and the key inserted like an old fashioned key. Once you have the new battery in your key fob or your second set of keys, just press the start button back into the dash where it was.

But... I know with my Audi once u take out battery the car de syncs with remote so you have to leave the car door open and turn key in the ignition to re sync the thob to the car, is Lexus not the same???

No help to me. When I remove the emergency key of my 2019 Lexus ES300h, I see something completely different from what you show in the video, and there is nowhere in which you can insert the key to snap open the fob.
