marner is the one im excited about while everyone is focused on mathews lol marner is looking amazing but if youve seen him play the last few years you can tell he isnt really playing to his full potential right meow, he still seems nervous. if you think he is good now then wait until he relaxes a bit and starts gettin all fancy and he will blow your goddayum socks off! lol
@xCestLaVie17 жыл бұрын
TheGreenBasturd I thought Marner was the most noticeable on the ice still. He's like a fucking quarterback on the ice.
@TheGreenBasturd7 жыл бұрын
***** i know he looks amazing right?! the thing is though if you have watched him play over the past few years he is even better. right now he is playing great but still looks a bit stiff, not really doing the insane dangles he is known for (honestly when he is relaxed he looks like patrick kanes and pavel datsyuks lovechild haha) he isnt playing his best hockey right now but is still controlling the ice when he is out there, im so excited to see him loosen up and start making big things happen out there probably in the second half of the season id say. he will need some time to get really relaxed and start having some fun. im glad mathews is taking most of the spotlight and pressure off of marner though, that will help him develop without all that pressure on him. i do think marner will end up being the leafs top goal scorer 100% the kid can do things with the puck that only pavel datsyuk can even think of pulling off

Exact same feeling on the goals. Went nuts on first 2. Third i was just in awe like "did that just happen". 4th goal was a deer in the headlights..just thinking "this can't be real, can it?" Obviously this is a once in a career kind of game but wow oh wow is it going to be a fun season to watch with the big 3; Matthews Nylander Marner. And Please Babs do not break up the line 11-34-29. Hyman's grit adds so much to the puck skill of Matthews Nylander As always great vid

I used to watch the leafs because Saturday night hockey on CBC when I was younger. When I was a bit older like 5-6 years old I just changed to the pens. I don't remember why. We had a horrible 51pts season in 05-06. Just pick a team but you need to stick to it. For ever. Even when they suck. It always happens. Teams will suck at one point. Each team that wins, sucked at one point.

Hey man, I've been waiting all night to say this and for you to post this. *ahem* As a Pens fan since 1994, I'd like to thank you for Phil Kessel. That being said, GOD DAMN THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! *Regains composure...* I hope to see you and your Leafs in the playoffs here REAL soon. Go Pens.
@TheGreenBasturd7 жыл бұрын
phil was a great dude but a bit too old for our rebuild and too valuable to waste his prime years here when all that would end up doing is hurting our chances at decent draft picks and he wouldnt get anything to show for his hard work. i couldnt be happier he landed with the pens and got himself a cup, he totally deserved it for all the BS a few (it was literally only a few, not the entire toronto media like people seem to think) reporters put him through here. but now we have all the pieces we need (goaltending may not be set in stone yet) but we just need a few years to develop these kids and then i can def see our teams having some exciting playoff series in the years to come!

To anyone who is watching this comment is from 2022 where the leafs are decent but struggle in the playoffs. Also struggle to hold leads. Although I’m a sens fan and they are a rebuilding team now with their roster completely different. The leafs roster is somewhat similar. A lot of things changed in five years.

I've been a Leaf fan for 15 years now. Over those 15 years, there have been a lot of opportunities to jump on another team's bandwagon, but dammit, a good hockey fan sticks with their team. There have been highs, and quite a few lows. I've taken quite a bit of guff from teachers, friends, and family over the team I support, enough that I have a physical list of people that, when the Leafs finally do get that Cup, can expect a phone call or visit from me shortly after. Losing sucks. I would have gladly won that game over losing. If I had my way, the Leafs would go 82-0 every year. But tonight was different. Tonight, after Turris scored, I dug out that dusty old piece of paper. It probably won't be this year, or even next year, but with this group, things are looking immensely optimistic to this Leafs fan. Go Leafs Go!
