Aurora is the most underrated vocalist around. She should be selling millions, and she is growing in the eyes of many, as people become exposed to her. She has at least two-dozen really good original works, and she is almost always better live. My favorite of hers is the Nidarosdomen performance of Lucky (or Murder Song, from that same venue), but there are lots of really good performances. She absolutely kills in small studios, like KEXP (It Happened Quiet, Churchyard, God is a Woman [cover], Teardrop [cover]). A truly unique Norwegian performer who is slowly rising to massive exposure on world stages. She is such a strong vocalist that her stripped Vivo version of Through the Eyes of a Child is the best a cappella song I have ever heard. Aurora is, even according to her childhood friends who've known her a long time, a truly magical creature. She feels deep and her music flows through her as she moves to the music. The entire concert is perfection set in the oldest cathedral in Norway where they used to crown their kings...the acoustics are phenomenal! She's from Norway and if you loved this, you will love her live, it's at a whole new level. The vocals in this are great but her range is MUCH more than this!

Very good reaction. She is from Norway And her name is Aurora Aksnes and her artist name is just AURORA :). She is very natural and talented songwriter, singer, coproducer and even composer (she learned f.e. to play piano). When you her her song = she wrote it. She has no formal education and just made music as a kid (even for first years it was a secret for a parents). She started making music >=6 and English lyrics from >=9. She has a ton of great songs and performances:). Hope for more reactions from her. I guess you already have some recommendations. Imagine you grew up on an isolated cliff by a deep fjord with only the your closest family, wilderness and the wide open sky around you. A somewhat introverted, socially awkward child loved by your family. You have a habit of making up songs and singing them to the woods and clouds as far back as you can remember. And then by accident when you sing a song in your very rural junior high school for a friends birthday someone uploaded it to youtube and BAM! in no time at all you found yourself constantly touring and performing in big cities of the world in front of crowds going bonkers to see you. You love your close circle of musicians playing for you, but you're hardly even fully adult yet. And old soul but very young. Exhilarated but exhausted. Thinking of the quiet snow-covered Scandic mountains, the midnight summer sun and the sound of the birds and the wind you've not heard for a very long time. Finally you know if you don't take a breather and go home something will break. Aurora was a peculiar child with a unique background for a pop singer-songwriter. Some of her popular tunes she actually composed at only 7 or 8 years old. She's extremely specific about her arrangements, sounds, and watching her live performances are even more interesting; at times she seems to be so transfixed by her lyrics and whatnthey mean to her she forgets everyone's watching, or perhaps she just doesn't care about looks and gestures, just the delivery. Aurora is form the same place as me, a small town in Norway. One day in middle school our teachers had a suprise for us, and Aurora came an preformed for us, just outside the school. We ended up getting to ask questions and take selfies with her after she was done.
