Oooohhhh we're doing Aurora???!? Since you only get 1 chance to hear her songs for the first time, I very highly recommend these specific performances, in this order 🙏❤: Runaway (Live at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/fMlni7qIxKvMkmw.html It Happened Quiet (Live at the Current): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7tdgZl91uDIeYE.html Murder Song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1) (Live at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert): kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html

@@MaddyReactions I would recommend doing 'It happened quiet' from HAIK concert, as the forest set up really fits well with her fairy appearance, and the echo effect there is really something :p And then also 'Churchyard' from KEXP to see a different, energy-bursting elf-aurora :p
@dropbarracuda
@dropbarracuda Жыл бұрын
@ShadowDIo110 I've heard that version as well, but the one she did Live at the Current has very specific intonation, engagement, and vocal mix with Silja Sol that is unmatched for any other performance of that song (hence the 5.5Million views vs 1,500 views). I agree that the version from the Haik concert is worth checking out after the first listen though.

@@dropbarracuda ehh, could've say all the same about forest one: about the engagement, harmonies, intonations as well x) Cool I guess that there're 2 versions at least which leave the same strong heart touching effect from all the aspects combined

Yes. She wrote that song. And composed the melody. When she was 11. All but 2 of the songs in this concert were her creations. This whole concert is so well done in every respect that it should be used as a benchmark for others. It's perfect. And, yes, it "wrecked" me the first time I heard it. It still does. Her music is food for the soul(!).

Very nice reaction, she wrote this song, she has a very large discography for you to jump into. Her lyrics are genius, thought provoking, she writes about dark subjects, she sheds light in the darkness. Love her, looking forward to more Aurora on your channel, may I suggest Soft Universe from this same concert, or Lucky, or Under Stars? Or perhaps the whole concert one song at a time, lol...

Not a fairy, a wood nymph. Cry, I do, every time I hear this (and a lot of her songs). Aurora is different in every way, all her songs, every time she performs. That is why she is best live. This concert at the Nidarosdomen is a total masterpiece. Did you notice her face? She was totally in her song, a complete emotional commitment. Again, common with this gem of a woman.

Aurora was 18/19 when she wrote this song,she needed another song to complete her debut album,ALL MY DEMONS GREETING ME AS A FRIEND, all of the tracks on the album were written by her one in particular called LUCKY was written by her at the age of 9,a song that she also performs at the same concert we have just seen and trust me you will need a box of tissues for that one,you will never regret the journey you have just started with Aurora,she has a catalog of songs that are filled with such deep lyrics full of wonderment and meaning that makes you think deeply about life and the world around you,what’s funny is you may have heard her before and not realised it was her but in the Disney film Frozen 2 she sang the part of the siren that Elsa heard, I’ve followed Aurora now for 7 years and seen her live 3 times and I have no doubt that she is the best live performer I’ve ever seen,simply put she’s a Genius.enjoy your journey ❤️

I am giving you the same messenge i give to others that react to her for the first time: Her performances will ALWAYS find a way into your soul and move you in one or many ways. I think you would be able to see her music directly impacting and motivation people by watching her live performances of "infections of a differentkind" at HAIK. Other performances deliver undeniable truths in a most beautiful way such as the VEVO stripper down "Through the eyes of a child" to graphically see the artistic mind, reacting to her cover of David Bowies "life on mars" will show you how even a cover done by aurora can capture you full attention and admiration. Other songs you must check out Is "it happend quite" live at the current a beautiful song with the most amazing harmony by aurora and her backupsinger, Aurora have alot of styles her songs will ALWAYS surprise you for example the contrast on her new album "giving into the love" and then goes to "you keep me crawling", "cure for me" and "inocent" that is totally different. And be aware of her lyrics they ALWAYS has a meaning behind them and is so poetic.

I hope you continue to explore her music and performances (she's always amazing live), because I've no doubt, your life will be richer because of it. You're also not the first person to call her a real-life fairy. In fact, at this point, I almost expect it from reactors new to her. "Woodnymph" and "angel" are also popular terms to describe her. She's all about nature, and being kind to the planet, animals and fellow human beings (especially those marginalized), so I think it fits. Aurora said in the HAIK documentary that this song is very important to her. She was going through a dark time, where she was only seeing the bad in the world, and she wrote this song to get it out of her system. Many of her songs are cathartic for herself and/or others. She calls them her "children," and they're not just, "hey, this sounds cool." There is something to them.

Thank you for watching and playing one of Aurora's most beautiful songs and performances......It is one of the many favorites. I listed many of Aurora's songs.....It is a list showing the many different kinds of songs that Aurora writes and performs. Aurora is someone to be treasured by all of us. Aurora never had singing lessons, musical lessons……she does “some covers:” but the overwhelming majority of her work is written by Aurora herself. So if you want to get to know Aurora, just listen to her, watch her and accept that what she is doing is sharing herself with us. She has well over 1,000 pieces of works written, be it poems or songs. She taught herself to play the piano when she found an old electric one in the attic. The only thing was that she had to use one hand to keep the piano on. If she didn't, the piano would shut off. The only lessons that she took were Interpretive Dance...I'm sure that you'll notice her gracefulness when she does move around in performances. I hope that you at least check out some of these recommendations because all of these are a departure from what you have listened to already. Aurora is very diverse and She can make you laugh and happy as much as she can make you “cry. I frankly cannot think of anyone else that is in her class.. She is totally self taught and self driven. She never intended to become a performer...That was the furthest from her mind considering that she spent most all of her free time in an extremely large forest that was right by her family's home. She would disappear for hours every day. They put up a bell to let her know to come home and if that didn't work, they sent her 2 older sisters to find her and bring her home. Her music is all over the place. It really isn't all sad. She has really fun music, rock kind of music as well as almost folk music (Norwegian influenced). She does do some covers but over 90% of her songs are written by her and/or in collaberation with someone else. Fans with push her live performances which are outstanding, I agree ..but her music video's have been called works of art. So please take a look at those as well. Here are some suggestions: Exhale Inhale kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nrCTfLmW2JOaomg.html This is just a beautiful song on a set that is just really awesome to watch and listen to. Cure for Me kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gZdnl8lplriwaY0.html This is a video where it is a total performance oriented video. Costumes, other dancers and of course Aurora. It is fun and catchy….actually the little dance that Aurora does is being done by fans in various countries around the world. Warduna Aurora stepped in to fill in a space to help. It is in Norwegin I believe. Very cool sounding song. Was part of “The Vikings” t.v. show as well kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9WJmrWWq73VYpc.html kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mqqYeKur0sjbpZs.html Live performance The video is very very well done as well I really love the video of this though. Interviews kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9WJmrWWq73VYpc.html Just sample of Aurora’s authenticity, humor, total engagement during the interview, openness…..Her interviews are really something to watch to really understand that Aurora isn’t so much “performing” as she is giving us parts of herself that she (even in her short life so far) life and observations…openly and honestly. She does quite a few interviews. So if you want to get to know Aurora, just listen to her, watch her and accept that what she is doing is sharing herself with us. She has well over 1,000 pieces of works written, be it poems or songs. To be Loved kzfaq.info/get/bejne/npiSnbd3ycved2w.html This song and performance is the most different than anything else that she has done…Rather abstract, she dances a lot more and the singing is really great. All Soft Inside kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f7linLmUrODDf58.html This was described by a reactor as a “Kaleidoscope” (which is really as perfect of a word as I would ever think about this song….One of my favorites) Aurora has risen the bar quite high for anyone to even be able to touch her. Her fans all have a very deep connection to her because she is so authentic and has so much wisdom for someone so young. Watching some of her interviews is positively enlightening and a treat to looking into her mind.. o

The entire Nidarosdomen concert is an artistic masterpiece. Here is a suggestion for you Maddy - this is a smiling, dancing Aurora with the final song "Daydreamer" from her magical HAIK concert (which was filmed in the forest where Aurora played in her childhood) (kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gKt1hrCh0r7coHU.html). I hope you can find the time to watch and enjoy it. PS At the beginning she says "Don't forget to dream big".

Hi Maddy and thank you for this great reaction. Goosebumps and shivers all over my body - every single time I hear this song. For me this is a masterpiece. So much feeling that AURORA brings to this song. This song must mean a lot to her. And the statement is simple and a commonly known truth. And yet as adults, at least most of us, we lose sight through the eyes of a child. I wish AURORA that she never grows up in that sense. Then we will continue to get such beautiful songs from her. We need someone to keep reminding us of this simple truth. AURORA (Aurora Aksnes) was born on June 15, 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is now 27 years old. She is a singer, songwriter and producer with a style all her own. AURORA's songs always have a strong message. Often the messages are not very clear either. They can be interpreted so that many people can relate them to themselves. Her movements when singing are extraordinary. This isn't a dance. This is her special way of expression. You can also say that she sings with her whole body. Her excellent music, her brilliant voice and her movements. AURORA's live performances are a total work of art. She is often so into the song that she shakes her body or head uncontrollably (--> Murder song, It happened quiet) and need 2-3 seconds to come back. She is capable of transporting feelings because she allows a look into her soul. Her fans call themselves warriors and weirdos. AURORA is not entirely unknown. Her channel has over 5 million subscribers and more than 130 videos on this channel have over 1.4 billion views. Do you know the Disney movie Frozen 2? AURORA is the siren call in the song "Into the Unknown". AURORA once said: People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves She became famous with the song Runaway. AURORA wrote the song when she was 11 years old. It was recorded in 2014 when she was about 18 years old. The video was shot very close to her parents' house. Some scenes are even said to have come from the garden of her parents' house. - Runaway - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/msV4n7OT1LK2fGw.html - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rM5ghrqFu928qKs.html - the saddest love song I've ever heard - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b7tdgZl91uDIeYE.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies - Lucky (Live at Nidarosdomen) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d9OEnNSDl8W6cas.html - the song is her way of suicide prevention - The Seed (Official Video - VEVO) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lbOTkrJ-mtWycWw.html - it's about the climat change, AURORAS “Earth Song” - Exist For Love (Official Video - VEVO) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bb90ntV7xs-noqs.html - love song - Cure For Me (Official Video - VEVO) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gZdnl8lplriwaY0.html - this cheerfulness of the music - even though she is hurt. - Queendom (Official Video) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rbt8mLuWttHVlGQ.html - her queendom - where all people are accepted for their differences - Warrior (Live on the Honda Stage) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f5mUqaZl2aqtY6c.html - it is for her warrios - Heathens (Live Performance) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9p7hZqlptOUmJs.html - another incredibly profound lyrics - Nature Boy (acapella) - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z5N8p6aTtbvThIE.html - very special I usually prefer her live performances. But in some cases the VEVO video is more impressive. I hope you enjoy AURORA. There are also some cover songs by AURORA, but then she interpret them in her own way. Probably the most famous recording is a David Bowie cover - "Life in Mars". - Life on Mars - kzfaq.info/get/bejne/obBgbJiElbPRnnU.html Three important bits of information I found from another commenter: 1. -- In a recent interview she said "well, the last song I wrote is meant for my 7th album.” - AURORA's latest album, the fourth, was released on January 21, 2022. She's already in the planning for the 7th. 2. -- AURORA was a teen when she answered the question "are some of your songs related (on different albums)?" - it will all make sense when I have finished. - AURORA has a plan and we don't know the destination yet. But it is important to know that everything belongs together. 3. AURORA is holding back one song from every decade of her life to release those songs as the last album after her death. Which artist does that? Have a nice day and Greetings from Germany

If you cannot understand and handle the fact that someone doesn't share your opinion, perhaps you shouldn't comment on an reaction about how much better another artist is, the people on here are fans of Aurora's and not everyone that is a fan of hers is a fan of Angelina and vice versa.. Actually, her whole performance at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize concert would be a great 'introduction'. There are three songs. A cover of 'Half the World Away', 'Runaway' and 'Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)' ... plus a short live interview. The Uploader is: Nobel Peace Prize Concert The search for words are: AURORA - RUNAWAY - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert

Dont worry about loosing your words, and tearing up. Aurora does that to you. She will also amaze you with her 300 year wisdom (I am sure her soul is at least that), and make you laugh of her childish humore (I mean that in the positive way), but dont be fooled, she is a highly intelligent woman. I have seen Aurora slightly in Norwegian media from when she started. When covid hit all my hobbies closed down, and I got bored with series and tv. Then I figurd I would start listening to music again, like I did in the 80's, early 90's. I figured I would start with Norwegian artists, like support the lokal artists. I found Sigrid, Skaar and others, but then I started listening and watching this strange and wierd artist Aurora. She had a voice like no other, but the way she performed pulled me in. Then I learned about what the song means and about her, and I fell in love with her "work". Her message that grabbed me the most was simply that we should let people be who they are. People are different, and it is fantastic to be uniq. The drive to be perfect is like trying to find the gold at the end of the rainbow, it does not exist, and it is in a different place depending on your angel. I watched "everything" on KZfaq, and tv, and last year the time had come: I was going to see her live! And it was in her home town Bergen. I was in Bergen the day before, on her birthday actually, and I met her on the street. I am 53 years old, have not had problems to talk to anybody ever, but I froze.... I did not manage to say a singel word... How silly... and surprising 😅. When the day of the consert arrived I was ready, I knew what to expect, I knew was it was going to be like.... I was SO wrong! She was BETTER! She came on stage, talked to us like she was meeting family and friends, explained to us that she was planning to dance a lot, and that we might see her underware 😂. Than she took me on a journey that is like the nature of Norway, mild, gentle and stunning in one minute and powerful and wild the next. In "running with the wolfes" her eyes was so wild and intence she scared me a bit 😂. You know what? I dont think Aurora sings, she just open up her heart and soul to us. Now I have seen her live 5 times, and in every concert she surprises me again.... At her concert in Kongsberg I stood 3-4 meters from her parents and one of her sisters. I so wanted to shake their hands and thank them for supporting Aurora so she can do what she does. I would espessially thank her mother that basicly convinced her to share her music. But I did not want to disturb them... And it is a bit embarrassing also... But I strongly feel that she is something special.... I am not the best writer, I know, and sometimes it is difficult to translate to english also, but I hope the essence is ok 😊
