Question, why do you keep mentioning that it’s not good for editing? Hope to hear your feedback. I’ve been editing on a Sony 42” 1080p tv for years and the colors are very accurate to my iPhone colors. Ive been wanting to get this for photo editing. If I’m used to a monitor this big already would you say I should get it, or is there other reasons you don’t recommend it for editing? Thank you!

While Windows 11 scales well at 150% on this 43-inch 4K monitor, pixel peeping still reveals individual pixels. This highlights the PPI limitations: 4K resolution isn't dense enough for pixel-perfect video editing, photo editing, or coding. However, the large size shines for movies, dashboards, and Zoom meetings.

For office work, what about something like the LG 43UN700? It's a few years old but allows 4 different input sources to be displayed simultaneously and has usb-c. Or is the issue really just that the screwn is too big for the intended application? Thanks.

I prefer 27 or 32, 43 feels too big for me. also PPI will be low. If you used retina display you will notice the pixels.

@@TechKerala yeah man, thanks. I played with a 43" and found myself sometimes losing the cursor and even moving my head around just to see what I was doing. I ended up getting a 32" (4k IPS) - two of them, in fact, mounted side by side. The picture is so good it's almost "too clear", lol - text is crisp and sharp, and the 32" size is perfect for working close-up with multiple documents (and/or watching a movie from a few feet back).

Initially I ordered this but then moved on to get Benq Mobiuz EX3210U only because of the sheer size of this also EX3210U comes with HDMI 2.1 it will serve both as everyday monitor as well as a gaming monitor also EX3210U has a AI cancelling microphone. I was thinking did a spend more and I should have stuck with this LG monitor but after seeing the size of it going for 32 inch monitor was a better option. But anyway monitor is nice. Good and Happy coding 😀

I saw many optimistic videos about 43-inch displays on KZfaq. Maybe they are right if we are only using it for gaming. My primary objective is to use this as a primary monitor occasionally, such as to change BIOS settings on my ESXi server or to use my M1 MacMini. Most of the time, I am using it for KZfaq! Then, AirPlay 2. Your decision to go with a 32-inch display is brilliant, because a 4K display at 43 inches is not a very good experience as a primary monitor, even if it is an 8K display. This is because it is too big.

@@TechKerala Thanks I needed a monitor for everyday use. Even I was using a 2K 24 inch Lenovo monitor and wanted to switch. So did some research and came to same conclusion as you for any kind of entertainment 4k 43 or even higher is really good. But not for daily coding as we have to move mouse a lot.

Hi, thanks for this great review! Do you think this would suffice for an office setup (maybe using only half the real estate to keep it manageable)? Or would text not be sharp enough? I'm concerned the PPI might be too low for super sharp text, but the option to kick back and watch a movie on the same big screen (without a computer) would be nice. I would like to use this monitor for work - reviewing multiple long, dense, small-text documents on-screen at the same time. I had a 34" VA ultrawide (3440x1440), which was too low resolution to see really crisp, sharp text. Then I got a 32" 4k IPS that was super crisp and sharp, perfect (I had to return it due to a defect). But now I see these 43" ones for under $500 and think I would love even more real estate for work (maybe I'm getting greedy, lol). I think I know the answer but don't want to admit that I should just get 32" or 27" for work, and also get a separate, bigger 4K TV for entertainment rather than trying to combine them into one all-purpose screen.

34" VA ultrawide (3440x1440) means you are using 2k resolution for 34" size , 2k sweetspot is 27", if you are going 43"+ , go for dual 4k ultrawide around that size.

@@TechKerala I want a few more details if you don't mind --- Does it have a joystick/nipple-control button under the TV -- I can see that there is something in the middle of the screen at the bottom. Also, when we power ON, if the TV is connected to the Computer does it boot/load into PC or LG TV's WebOS -- do we have to always go to the WebOS' HomeDashboard and manually change to PC ? Thanks a lot.
@TechKerala7 ай бұрын
That is a single-button control that allows you to turn on the TV when it's off without using the remote. This single button also allows you to select the menu, increase the volume, and perform other functions. A single click will switch the selection, and a long press will select an item. It's not the most versatile feature, but it's useful if you've misplaced the remote. When you connect to a PC or any other HDMI device, the TV will remember the connection and automatically display the corresponding interface, eliminating the need to navigate through WebOS. This TV turns on very quickly, but if there is no signal, it will display a "no signal" message on the screen. Pressing the home button or input button will take you to WebOS.

Honestly, I don't recommend this for photo editing or video editing because I prefer not to see pixels. A monitor should have a pixel density of 300 PPI or more; a retina display has spoiled me, and now I can't look at any display with less than 300 PPI.
