Hi! I’m Andromeda (she/they) and thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy!
QOTD: I’ll probably have made a community post up for this by the time this video comes up, but the two year anniversary of this channel is coming up and I was wondering if there were any kind of celebratory video from me that you all would be interested in seeing!! Of course this has to be achievable around the time I have so if you suggest me making a sixty minute video that may not happen, however, if you suggest me compiling some of my favorite TikToks that I’ve displayed on the channel that might be something I’d be able to do! Feel free to suggest any ideas you have below!
Hey all!! I’m now selling some merchandise to help raise money for my transition and I recently released the first edition of the queer resource so feel free to check those out! Links are included below.
First, let’s talk about the merch! I’m selling them through two different sites, both of which will be linked below. There are stickers, pins, and magnets which I’m selling through Redbubble - they’re available with several different LGBTQ+ flag options, although I know I haven’t covered them all so if you notice your flag missing feel free to comment it below and I’ll work on adding them in! And I’m selling shirts, sweaters, and hoodies through Teespring; they’re available with a couple different designs including the channel logo, but I’d be interested in expanding the flag options and designs, so if you have anything you’d like to see feel free to leave a comment below suggesting it!!
I mentioned that I’m saving money for my transition but that’s not the only thing the profits will go towards. My plan is for 80% of the profits to go towards saving for my transition, 10% towards funding the channel, and 10% to LGBTQ+ charities. I’ll leave a link to a google sheet below to show how your money is being divided for whatever product you may chose to get. I know the amount towards charities is low at the moment but I intend to increase that amount as I get closer to my goal for raising for my transition.
I’m really excited about this! I was interested in ways I might be able to raise for my transition and bottom surgery through the channel, but I didn’t want to just ask people to donate as I’m aware of the influence that content creators can have and I don’t ever want that to be used to my advantage. I’m happy about this way as it allows me to give back to you all in the form of merch as well as to give back to the queer community as a whole by donating to charities and organizations. Now let’s talk about the queer resource!! I want to make sure to convey to you that it is in its very beginning stages of development; I have made significant progress on it but it is a time consuming process and between school, work, running this channel, and other responsibilities I don’t have much of that. The resource is a working document, I’ll be working it on my free time and adding and updating information and resources as it develops. I just want you all to be aware that any missing information and resources in the document right now is likely due to that. For instance, there is a section on queer terminology with definitions and resources and answers to certain questions, but I’ve only been able to go through A-terms and that section with 5 definitions took several hours. But, if I’m missing a definition from that or one of the resources I’ve included and checked over conveys a stereotype that I was unaware of or maybe there is information about those terms that does not appear in those resources and is important to show, feel free to let me know!
I want this document to be as accurate as possible and to not convey any kinds of stereotypes or misinformation so your feedback is always welcome. Thank you for your patience as I’ve worked on developing this and I hope you find this resource useful!

Hey Andromeda, you asked about my comment (the book I read) on the old video and idk if you saw my response, so I'm just gonna say it again. The book I read was called 'If This Gets Out' by Sophie Gonzales and Cale Dietrich. It's about two boys who are part of a band, and how their relationship develops when they are on tour. Another great lgbtq+ book I read recently (no pressure to add this to the resource if you don't want to) was 'Loveless' by Alice Oseman. The main character is aroace, like me, and I really related to it. Thanks for all your videos, they have really helped me to discover my identity. 🙂💜💚

epic effort on xyr pronouns! Just wanted to give a tip I thought might help, xe is like he or she without the beginning, and so xem is like them without the th so what you need here is the possessive form. When you use xe/xem pronouns in the possessive form (his, her, their) you use ‘xyr’. Hope this helps! I always have to try translate it in my brain to the words it’s similar to so I get the right one haha

That last one about trans priceless was super interesting and thought provoking. It got me thinking that even though my parents aren’t the best they could be with me being non-binary (still treat me like a girl, my mom hates that I dress masc, my dad doesn’t really “get” trans ppl but he tries) I still have it so good compared to some people I know. And this helped give me a lot of perspective. Especially since most o my friends are trans and their parents run the absolute gamut from super amazing and supportive to transphobic Christian hardcore religious. Just that we need to realize how not every trans person will be able to access what they need or be supported by family, and we as a community and the ones of us that are privileged need to do what we can to raise up those who aren’t.

Yeah, I was one of the first in the US power metal scene (prominent fan and webzine contributor) to publicly come out as trans...and then slowly watched more and more trans people emerge (and the fun of watching way too many devolve into far-right reactionary religious zealots...). I feel honored being someone that others have felt comfortable with coming out to, especially people that I myself have looked up to.

Hi, Andromeda! I just wanted to pop by and tell you how amazing you are! I love your videos so much, and I appreciate how much time and effort you put in to making your channel a welcoming place. It reminds me of the lovely online community that we both share. It makes me feel like my sexuality belongs somewhere and is accepted. Just last week I went to my church and heard the pastor say how proud he was that he never married a man and a man or a woman and a woman, and that he would never support gay people legally marrying (which prompted everyone around me to say AMEN! (blechhhh)). I think it made me realize again that my hometown community won't accept me for who I am. Luckily my boyfriend was there to hold my hand through that (he knows I'm bisexual), but I just think of all the kids and teenagers and adults who are told that message and that feel alone. So I believe that what you are doing with your channel and your merch and your comprehensive queer research document is absolutely needed, and absolutely beautiful. You are spreading so much joy and love and positivity. You are providing space for people to feel LOVED. I honestly cannot wait to see what you accomplish in the future, because you will do great things. Your friend, Zoe :) (btw my pastor is leaving so hopefully we get a more supportive one. I would love to see a pride flag in our church :D)

Hey, can someone explain neo pronouns to me? The only pronouns I'm familiar with and understand are she/her he/him and they/them (my pronouns are she/they)

It’s great that you asked! They usually have a similar grammar structure to “regular” or more common pronouns. For example xe/xem. This is used similarly to they/them, just singular. . You would say: I just met the coolest person! Xe has really cool makeup and is really funny. I’m so glad I met xem. Hope this helped!

The demon one just made me feel sort of sick because I don’t want to be seen as evil. Idk if it’s due to me having been religious in the past, but I see demons as a representation of evil rather than just edgy. I don’t want to be seen as evil just because of my pronouns, especially since I hate myself so much at baseline. At this point, I’m almost certain that God doesn’t exist, and I’m hoping that I’m right because I don’t want to go to Hell with the murderers and rapists and Hitler just for being myself.

I appreciate your criticism, the person in the video was really just mocking an attempt of a conservative person to justify their transphobia, but rewatching that clip I can see how that could make you feel that way. The response to the video was a joke, but there was a lot of underlying negativity from the person trying to justify their non-use of people’s pronouns and I can see how that would make you feel upset. When making these videos I’ve been trying to move away from such negativity and trying to make a safe space for queer people that promotes queer joy and positivity, and I realize I worked against that putting that video in this compilation. Thank you for pointing that out and I’ll be making more of an effort to notice underlying negativity in videos like these, so I can make sure not to include that in future videos.

@@gremlinsunited2433 Thanks. It’s also difficult for me because I’m autistic, so I have a difficult time differentiating jokes and sarcasm from seriousness. Are you neurodivergent by any chance? Either way, you should try using tone indicators. Sorry if I’m not making much sense. Anxiety sometimes makes me delirious.

That makes sense, and I might be; I’ve been tested for ADHD recently, but we haven’t received the results back quite yet. And that sounds like a great idea! Do you think that it would be okay to include videos like these in future if I use tone indications while their being displayed to help make the message or intention of the videos clearer? I’d really value your opinion on that, as I do have some difficulty interpreting tone, but it isn’t too much of an issue for me. /gen

@@gremlinsunited2433 I meant in general. I still think you should leave videos like this out due to the negativity. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Also, my mom has ADHD. I recognize my privilege, being neurodivergent and having a neurodivergent mom. I’m so lucky to have her. She’s so accepting of me and we’re best friends. When I have insomnia, she keeps me company in my room. It’s like having a sleepover. We even stim together! I want to eventually start a family vlog channel so that other parents can see what a good mom she is and she can be a role model for them. The world would be a much better place if more moms were like my mom. Also, my family is rich. My parents are both doctors. I feel sorry for the kids who have to go to college and get a job just to make enough money to support their family. I don’t intend on doing either of those things. I wish more good people were rich like my parents. I’ll stop rambling now. Sorry.
