I was stationed aboard a destroyer out of Mayport in the mid to late 80’s. One night out at The Breakaway Lounge, I met a very pretty Filipina. We hit it off and spent the weekend together. Well, time passed and then one day, I had POW and sure as hell, she came up onto the Quarterdeck. She looked at me and I looked at her and luckily we both played it cool. The I asked her who she was there to see and she said her husband. Bad enough she was married but, to a sailor on MY ship…no good. She said his name, it has been so long but, he was the Command Master Chief. That was bad but, the next part is even worse…I was an STG, so he wasn’t directly in charge of me…he was the Personnel Master Chief. I think I actually pissed a little as he came topside. Nothing happened…than the gods and after that I insured that no female I became involved with was married. I remember vividly what she wore across the QD. Full body stocking that was fluorescent green, white 6” pumps, white wide belt (like the chicks wore then…like Madonna, a big white bow in her hair and white panties and bra. Burned into my brain forever and moral of the story is: don’t sleep with the personnelman master chief for you could end up “cranking” for your entire career on the worst possible billet in the Navy. 🫡

@@IdoraCruzInofre-xk2wv we pulled into Subic about every two or three weeks to the fuel piers. Olongapo was a great liberty port nice people and your money went a long ways the exchange rate back then was 4 pesos for1 USD. Streets were mostly dirt and very muddy during monsoon season.I use Togo to White Rock Beach by jeepney it was very beautiful but it was kind of in the Province and very rural. Also remember Grande Island that was beautiful. Rode the bus from Olongapo to Manila that was some trip back then it stopped in every little town kids would try to sell you everything. Stayed in the Manila Hilton it was very nice. I would buy flowers from a little girl she sold flower necklaces in the bars hope she is well called her the flower girl. Purchased a lot of wood carvings they sold on the street in Olongapo by the Nigeritoes I think they were native tribes. Nothing but good memories of the PI Beautiful people and Beautiful islands. Wishing you Health and Happiness

Didn't like it, to Dirty. However when sailors are in a drunken stupor nothing matters. Until you wake up and see who is beside you and the make-up has worn off.😮
