@A.A I don't know how you arrived at the conclusion of 'so many', but since you're not quoting any numbers, I believe it's more to do with defending KHI, rather than any logic. Istanbul where I currently reside in is slightly smaller than KHI in population. There are more housing here than local demand. Housing and buildings are being constructed out of red bricks. Regarding 'parhi likhi awam', being educated is one aspect, being civilised is totally another. I happen to have gone to some Karachi's top institutions, where most people never get admitted: St. Patrick's High School, Cambridge section: estd. 1867 DJ Sind Government Science College, estd. 1887 IBA, Karachi, estd. 1955 Have also lived all over Pakistan.
