It begins on a cold night in November 2021. Alena comes home dazed and confused after suffering a long non-COVID flu. Fearing an imminent epilepsy seizure, she retires early. We wake into a nightmare as the symptoms worsen… slurred speech, difficulty walking and balancing, severe short- and long-term memory loss. And a massive increase in seizures.
Has she had a stroke? Is this some type of extended waking seizure, or something else? She will spend the next half year in hospital… in an attempt to find out.
