Ive been wanting to catch one of those since I got into fishing, the last time I was fishing was in September 2023 I used Canadian night crawlers on a simple bobber setup and I still didn't get any bites next time I'll try using a jig head with a piece of nightcrawler so I can catch bass hiding in deep water

I call total BS on the idea that fish can recognize lures. The studies were BS because you simply cannot read fish minds and they certainly aren't going to tell us anything. Fish are just fish and for all the study knows the bass that wouldn't bite again possibly ate other bait fish after being hooked and simply didn't want to eat again for awhile. There is no possible way for anyone to justify this claim.
