I have been road cycling since I was a kid, became pretty good at it too, not good enough to ever go pro but I did well enough to take the odd race or tt here and there. In 2013 I was climbing a mountain and hit from behind by a half ton truck doing about 55mph. This left me somehow alive but with a broken back, broken neck, broken left leg and a crushed pelvis. Around 2015 I started cycling again until work made me leave it behind in 2017. It's funny where we find motivation but I have to say your videos have helped. I started back this year and while I'm still not nearly where I need to be I just finished a rolling run with an average speed of 25.15mph yesterday. I feel like I can get back to my short tt average in the 27mph range. Thank you for starting up your channel, it''s been a big motivator for me.

Love what you're doing with the channel. 3 vlogs/week is still huge volume. The fans want you in it for the long game, so kudos for making the smart choice and trimming down the schedule.

hey EJ good to see you man i want to give you one small piece of advice when editing these videos "the daily vlogs " I've been digging it but i think you should always start the video with something interesting me myself i know the good content when i see it ( adjust glasses ) but for new people it is better to start with the (hook) similar to the main channel cuz i feel like the potensional of this channel could exceed you expectations i know you already know this but hey just a reminder keep'em coming and I'll keep tagging along see you out there! oh also you definitely should include the ngl counter 😅😅🤣🤣

I have a Contend AR 3 from 2022 and it’s amazing. Only cost me $1,560 all told including taxes and picking it up at the local dealer. It’s treated me pretty well but I’d like to get 40cm integrated aero bars on it and I immediately swapped to clippers pedals of course. I used black electrical tape to make the cables on my cockpit more aero, but I’m also an aero weenie. I slammed my stem all the way and want to chop the fork and ditch the spacers too. But that’s just because I’m neurotic about being aero, overall it’s a great bike albeit slightly heavy at 22.5lb or 10kg

I really like the fact that he choose Velo Kings, because I don't want to see him compete for a protected sprinter position with some other guy making youtube video's. I also think it adds to both channels distinctiveness and to be frank I think it actually propels the promotion of riding further because it shows more of how big the community is. We still get Jeff's race breakdowns so he's still learning ( not to chase team mates... or chase team mates... or sit in... or don't sit in... ) it's hella fun to watch someone who got this much potential in the process of actually being able to apply that potential and have fun in the process. I guess it's the fun part which get's me, atleast.

Maybe a potential future move when he's more experienced? Their team goes to some pretty big events across the USA. Perhaps EJ the diamond is still a little rough, and an extra year or so would put him in a better position to switch to a bigger team with higher expectations. The Velo Kings squad are awesome, a fantastic vibe and place for EJ to hone his skills. Literally a perfect match at this stage of his cycling career.

I think it's great to see what life on the inside of both teams is like. Awesome that NorCal cycling (the channel) isn't handcuffed to one team. Speaks volumes to the management of both Mike's Bikes and Velo Kings. Clearly they encourage individuality and are all for promoting the sport from within. I have a hunch that a Legion rider would not be allowed to assist an up and coming racer from another team so publicly. Great content from both channels - we get to see expert advice on the main channel and the application of the advice on the other. Perfect combo

@@KmanRider Legion is becoming a bit of the 'he who shall not be named' of the community it seems, popping up in comments left and right. And deservedly so, especially since it's the price for being at the top ( as you said, they wouldn't even be allowed this and I guess it's probably because of sponsorship deals not allowing cross promotions ). It's nothing malicious, it's all part of the game.
