I'm Steph, wife of John & mom of 4 living on a 5th generation homestead. My husband's great-grandparents bought this farm in rural Missouri in 1942. My husband was supposed to take the farm over after high school - but he decided to go a different direction and moved out on his own. At that time he said he'd never get married or have kids. But here we are - 4 kids later and back on the farm. I grew up in town - so farm life has been a new adventure for me and I absolutely love it. I'm learning as I go and opting out of as many broken systems as I can along the way. We've lived here almost five years now, we homeschool our kids here, raise and grow more of our own food all the time, and our last baby was even born here on the farm - my first home birth. Learn with me as I share glimpses into our life on the farm.

I am so glad that the Lord allowed me to find your channel! It’s encouraging for me as a young wife and homemaker to see God loving women like you following the Biblical call for women to be workers at home, caring for their husbands and children, etc. in a world where people hate children, hate the order and roles that God has given us. Most of the ‘Christian’ women on KZfaq don’t seem to be too bothered about being truly Biblical. Also, I really like Albert Mohler! He is one of my favourite teachers. I look forward to seeing more videos from you!

We have a very different lifestyle, but I’m loving your videos! I find them very motivating and enjoyable to watch. I’ve had a different experience with public schooling, my kids get free breakfast and lunch at school because we’re in a low income neighborhood. So I drop them off in the morning and don’t have to worry about breakfast, and then get to enjoy a quiet house while they’re at school ❤

Loved spending the day with you on the farm! We are working towards getting cows and pigs so I loved seeing your setup! We currently have about 30 chickens! And my babies are still little, so like you said, bringing them along for chores almost takes longer but thanks for the valuable reminder that it will pay off one day as they get older :)

So exciting!! Starting a homestead is so much fun! I have the Crown Berkey, it’s huge and very expensive BUT it’s an essential for preparedness because it can be used in a power outage to filter unclean water. For example, in the event of an outage - we could collect rainwater or creek water and filter it in the berkey! Here’s the link for more info: www.berkeyfilters.com/collections/berkey-water-filter-systems/products/crown-berkey?a_aid=623c96280f63f&a_bid=74954129

Oh wow- I have the same vacuum too. lol I have had it for three years and it has changed my/our life. We have 2 dyson and I broke them. I don't think they could keep up. We had one coded and one able to charge. At first I didn't want to put that much money into a vacuum but it has been to easy and so worth it!!

Your children are incredibly strong 💪 😮 bucking hay is not so easy plus depending on the weight of the bail can make for some serious work😳 My best friend and I would get up bright and early to join her mom and head into town where we took care of 60 plus horses feeding watering pin cleaning for others that would be out of town😊 Anyway the hay bails were between 25 lbs? And mostly 50lbs 😌😊 I remember loading up the flat bed with my BF while her mom drove very slowly in order for us to get into the shed pull the bails and get them nicley stacked 3 high 😳 eventually 1 of us would gather the bails and the other would have to stack the bails ❤ After all that we would check the watering bins as we always always started that first then proceeded to buck hay ❤ Once that was done we began feeding and spending a bit of time with the horses as we cleaned the pins and they enjoyed fresh water and breakfast 😊 I must say it was a lot of fun even though it was hard work and the best part was recieving love from the horses and their excitement Everytime we showed up😊 Also I absolutely love love the smell of horses ,I always kissed them on the noses and the heat from their breathing and just that smell ❤I couldn't help myself another thing I always did was blow into their noses as there's a saying if you blow your breath into their nose they will always remember you Not sure how true that is but,I always loved my time with them and building memories with my BF ❤ I'll never forget the many memories I had with them❤ And I can't wait to buy my own property and start homesteading. Maybe just with some laying hens and a small garden to start ❤

Rainbow vacuums are the absolute best! If you want a workhorse that never quits, cleans your air (if you use oils, you can even scent the air with beautiful scents), and prevents dirt and dust from going back into the air, Rainbow is your vacuum. Uses the vortex of water, so a million times better than Dyson, and like Dyson, never ever loses suction. PHENOMENAL vacuum. Dumping the water can be a bit un-fun, but considering all of the other benefits, it's a small price to pay. With the right attachments, you can even shampoo carpets, detail your car, blow up balloons, and have it be an air duster (like for keyboards, etc.) - simply outstanding!

Hi! This is an old Ergonaby Organic and I love it! I got it when my daughter (now 9) was a baby and used it for her, my 6th, then loaned it out to a friend who used it for 2 babies, then my sister, and now it’s back with me. Still good as new and so comfy for both front and back carry!

Please share your homemade detergent! I’m very interested! I’ve been buying Puracy for diapers, I’ve heard a lot of people say that homemade detergents aren’t strong enough for human waste, but these are the same people saying Tide is the best. If you say it works for you I’m inclined to believe you! Worth a try at least! Do you ever strip them?

Hi Elisabeth! Yes a lot of people do not have a good experience with natural detergents but IMO, if I’m going to be using cloth to avoid toxins then I don’t want to use toxic detergent 🤷🏻‍♀️. I make mine with borax, washing soda, and fels naptha soap. I make huge batches and am running low, I’ll have to do a video when I make it!

Hi Amanda! I don’t use anything regularly! I just wash my face in the shower and I do apply Earthley’s Vitamin D cream afterwards - it’s made from super high quality cod liver oil so very high in retinol. It’s really thick and my face is shiny after applying it, but it absorbs after a while and actually makes a great “primer” if I’ll be wearing makeup that day
