@@jddriver9565 Yes, most has been terrible since 2005. I only can list a small number of secular songs on the radio outside of country music that have sounded good. This is one of them. Christian radio has gotten exponentially better. Lots of talent there, and a good message. Country music degraded later than pop, since 2012 or so when the bro country came in.
@WillLMC964 ай бұрын
@raniac6461 I feel like mainstream music was better in the 00's than today but there is still just as good music out there in the 2020's - it's just not mainstream. Anyone into this mid-late 2000's pop-rock music I recommend artists like Sam Fender or if your into fast-paced modern country, Tyler Braden.

You sound so much like JFK, who said he only learned about the Great Depression in college LOL. 2009 was at the very tail end of the neocon bubble. Lifehouse is trying to show young men and women interacting in a tranquil environment in order to prove that the ideas from this period were nothing like what the Bush administration was promoting. That said, a classy music video isn't going to do much to ease the tension of people who've lost their jobs and whose houses are underwater. Just sayin'.

I was living with my then girlfriend when this song came out. She decided to hang out with her ex-boyfriend.....of course she cheated and got caught red handed. After confronting her, she didn't come clean, so I stopped the argument and found a place to rent. I didn't say much, but continued to pack my things over the next week. That loser knew she screwed up. We had a 6-month lease on a place and were 3 months in. I didn't care about the deposit and took a chance that she would screw up my credit or her sisters (who co-signed for her), but it would have been worth it anyway. I played this song on every truck load I hauled out of there. She regretted everything and sat there with a broken heart. Too bad, because I was obviously "half-way gone" when we got together. That was on her. Like the lyrics say....."If you want me out, then I'm on my way.......And I'm feelin, feelin, feelin this way". One of the best things I ever did and learned. With a half way smile on my face.
