The gentleman in the yellow shirt on the skateboard in the beginning of this video was my cousin. We sadly lost him on February 5, 2021. He was hit by a car and didn't make it. He was killed 9 days before his birthday. Rest in peace Matthew Ortega. We will always miss you. 😔😭💔

Here in 2024 to say that this music video would play all the time on VH1 early in the morning when I was getting ready for high school. It fills me with so much warmth and nostalgia coming back and watching this and being transported back to the mornings before school during my actual mornings before work. ❤

At this moment I'm sitting in our house, in our living room and saying goodbye to everything before selling it. One of the last things he said to me was that we had to see Lifehouse live. I went on a hunt of old music today

I remember when this song came out. I was getting divorced.. when I found love again. It felt like the first time. I finally knew what this song meant to me. I feel like lifehouse has been there for every stage of my life. From my teens with hanging by a moment to broken when I felt there was nothing left to this one when I found love again. I saw them in an intimate concert at talking stick and it only solidified my love for the band. Every song speaks to my heart. Thank you Lifehouse.

God this song is so nostalgic, I hear it and I swear I'm on a california beach in the mid 2000s...even though ive never been to california in my life. Its like I feel the nostalgia of a life Ive never gotten to live, some idealized all american upbringing...such a strange feeling, it feels real but at the same time it makes me totally question if "reality" even exists.
