Lifespan of all 40K Races and Oldest Characters

In a couple of earlier videos we did lists of oldest characters, in one we compiled the oldest ever humans of the Imperium and in another one we arranged the oldest space marines that ever lived excluding dreadnoughts and those tainted by chaos. So now here in this video we will do something a little bit different, we will discuss and list out the different lifespan of each race in 40K and also dive in deep into the exceptions and the long living individuals of each xenos race.

Eldrad was said to have been over 10,000 years old at the time of the Horus Heracy. In the current setting that would make him over 22,000 years old.

Tecnically orks are eternally young, but they simply die After few years if they are lucky, if they are ultra lucky the maybe live a thousands of years

Not sure where its stated, but Tau do put their "Best and brightest" in stasis. Its to counteract their shorter lifespans, and their lack of better space/warp travel.

i heard about this technique on the sotry of commander shadowsun. She was mad because she was put into stasis while farsight was conquering world and gaining more honours than her

Damo-culz. That made me do a head tilt. First half had it, then the ending did a 180 flip. The Sword of Damocles, a story from ancient Greece, is generally pronounced Dah-mo-kleez. Though I could always be ignorant to some other form of Greek pronunciation.

So yeah….. for several races/factions, there’s definitely a differentiation from natural lifespan vs assisted prolongation. Great video!

Everyone seems to never mention the Alpha legion that are in stasis under the palace. They are all over 10k year old :)

If the Beast appeared in millennium 33 and he was a survivor from from the Ulamor campaign in millennium 30 then the orks can live thousands of years. The orks are technically immortal as long as they keep fighting and don't die.

Wasn't it stated that Dante is over 1500 years old, not 500? And the true lifespan of Space Marine has never been measured because they all fall in battle?

id say human lifespan varies a lot. Shorter than current day for the masses due to harsh living conditions, but for the nobility well over a century thanks to rejuvenat treatments.

Would be nice to get information about the eldar humonculus. I don't know the number but i know that the lore has this thing about them that they are so old that the usual looking healthy and young effect after "doin evil sheeit" that dark eldar experience no longer has that effect on them.

Correction - Humans - 12 year to 300 years plus. 15 hours average if you are military.

i wonder why dont humans just use Bionics to prolong their life span as Bionics are so cheap that they even use it for Servitors. For they, i think life span of the average humans should be longer

Access to high-level bionics/Rejuvenant treatments are typically reserved only for upper class nobles/those with special connections to the Mechanicus (who closely guard any knowledge of such biotechnologies). Therefore, although High Nobles can live for hundreds of years, these technologies are not available for the average human, who are typically seen to be nothing more than disposable chaff in the Imperium of Man.

Correct. By removing most of the internal organs and lobotomizing the human in question, you can effectively make the former human into a mindless automaton. The Mechanicus refuses to do these kinds of biomechanical adaptations to anyone (with a functioning mind) that is not a direct servant/Tech-priest of the Omnissiah. So yes, it isn't so much that those in the Imperium Can't do it, it is that they Won't do it. @@congnghequansuvn474

@@congnghequansuvn474 You can't give life prolonging bionics to the masses, or else you'd risk SERIOUS overpopulation. Like they are so so so so many even when dying so quickly. Now imagine if you had four times as many people in hive cities, plus like a fifth of the population would need to take care of grandpas!
