I’ve BEEN playing OTK on and off since Standard. A deck dropped in April that I really liked, almost made it to Wild legend with it.

If you've played/seen it, what's your opinion on the DH Questline variant that uses Brann and Gatekeeper into Mindbender to kill, over the Ilgynoth package? It has lower combo turn damage (still often more than enough to kill), but I've found it to be pretty successful!

Ilgynoth is better because you can use lifesteal spells to clear board and heal full hp. Even Shaman, Shadow Priest and Pirate Rogue are popular matchups. Lifesteal Dh played good is nice counter for that decks, MindBender probably not.

@@jyteks522it’s a side grade. The mindbender package is only two cards so it allows to to go in on an effective tempo strategy instead. The combo kill is worse, but still potent.

You can add baleful banker if you want to raise the damage to a hundred or so, but it’s bad the rest of the time.

What's the worst matchup for this deck? To me, it seems like it can stay alive vs aggro with the lifesteal, and the multiple pieces means minion disruption is more difficult.

Mages are terrible, because of iceblock. Queast mege is fast enough with iceblock to beat you every game, Reno variant got Reno after iceblock pop. Aggro matchups like Even Shaman, Shadow Priest, Pirate Rogue are easy when you know what to do. Reno shaman is 50/50, other Reno and control piles are easy. Even Warrior and Queast Warlock are easy. Pala is 50/50.

@@jyteks522 yeah that about sums it up i think, reno shaman is on the edge, can improve WR% depending if they know to mull for loatheb/rat rather than flurgl tox (guessing the DH archetype), since reno quest mage is popular it makes sense ilgynotk isnt that popular.

Cause finley replaces your hand, not draws. Gaslight draws the cards, and can re draw the same

I can see the -funny- idea but wouldn't this deck be alot better if you just played the Titan instead of the quest? Specially since the specialty of combo decks is drawing their combos everytime 70% of the time.

No, dh queast is much faster and stronger. Imagine 1 mana inervate but gives you 9 + mana early turns + Kurtrus win con. With queast otks in turn 5-6 are possible, with titan your fastest combo is turn 8 - thats slow. Also early mana discounts are your good friend when you need tempo vs faster matchups like even shaman or shadow priest.

Why wouldn't you eat horse meat? I guess most people are against eating dog meat and I get why, but I've always enjoyed horse and rabbit meats, even though some people consider them pets.

90% of the games you post on youtube are vs even shaman ... we know it's weak and any deck can beat it so please be aware of that martian

I had one recent video where most of the games were vs even shaman, and that was part of its narrative. Other than that, what you just said is completely inaccurate. I let some get into videos still but I cut most of them on purpose. I believe there was exactly 1 Even Shaman in my most recent video. Also no, its not weak.
