We just purchased this exact same shed. Took roughly 7 hours to complete. Snapping corners was tricky, but manageable. However, installing the roof on final corners was a challenge, take your time and it helps if your walls are level. I did about 95% of the build myself, it helps to have someone help with the roof installation.

this took 14 hours to complete. we had help from dad, mom, son, daughter, and grandma. we literally used every single tool we owned to finish this. if anyone is looking to do this shed, just know what your in for. if it wasn't for this video the time would've DOUBLED without it. we spent $1000 on this shed, but still we had SO MUCH TROUBLE WITH IT. first of all, we spent multiple hours pushing on the corner walls. we straight up used a sledgehammer to try to get it in. at one point we ended up having THE ENTIRE FAMILY hanging on one of the corner walls to push it in, but only ended up breaking the plastic 😭. and with the doors, the precision that we need to fit the door into place was insane. then the panel that went on top of the back wall DIDNT ALIGN WITH IT. we had to drill new holes into it. moral of the story: be ready for this project people. cause it's nearly impossible.

Is there a special trick to get the left corner wall panel in? The right back panel gave us lots of trouble too. It's not as easy as the video shows.

I just bought one from BJs and it was very complicated to assemble. This video helped a lot but it is a lot of screws. I can fix pretty much everything in a home or car but it took me and my wife 6 hours to assemble together. A lot of parts could be combined in one piece but they complicated in many small pieces making the assemble longer to finish.

Glad to hear this video helped! We do get the assembly may take longer than expected, but we take a lot of time in going over ways we find may be easier for a customer to build the product so they can have a smooth assembly.

You did brilliantly to build it in 6 hours - well done ! My wife and I spend a good two days but taking our time and constantly referring to the excellent video at every stage. Very pleased with the end result and now insulating it internally for use 12 months a year as a hobby room with electricity power and lighting.

Putting my shed together at the moment. I’m stuck on Section 6.4 where you connect screws to panel. Instructions say put in 18 screws but my panel only has 12 holes for that part. I’m I missing something?
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly 4 ай бұрын
There are 18 screws that will connect the floor panels, the location does depend on the model number. For this model, a screw will be inserted in the six locations on each seam of the floor, as depicted in the manual.
@Bryan-li8qi
@Bryan-li8qi Ай бұрын
I have this same model. There's only 12 dimples for screws. The original commenter is correct. And on the wall panels, your instructions say to make sure the end of the support that has 2 holes goes tp the top, yet your pictures in my manual show the holes at the bottom. And if i try and flip it, the holes don't match up. This shed build sucks.

I bought this shed from Home Depot. When I unboxed one of the carton I noticed that the panel with the window was damaged. Because it didn't affect the assembly I decided to wait and see about getting a partial refund. the biggest problems were with the corners. I managed to get three in with a lot of work. The left front I haven't as yet. The video does not show you how the trusses are supposed to line up with the out side wall. Being honest, the written directions stunk. Now to the shelf. I snapped all four pieces in like he did with the video and then proceeded to try and screw on the edge brackets. Those snap-in pieces just spun around and I couldn't tighten the screws. Speaking about the snap-in pieces, those two you tap in to the header piece, even with a light tap they both shattered. We're due for a heavy rain tonight and into tomorrow and we're slated to have snow this weekend. As of now I have no one to help me and can't find a contractor to put it up. As a disabled vet I was hoping for a better product with clear instructions and made in the US. I should've just made it out of pressure treated lumber and it would've been done already. I've spent easy 16 hours already with very little to show for it except three walls and three corners. Because the left front one won't snap in I can't even finish installing the front gable and doors. To say I'm thoroughly disgusted with Lifetime is an understatement! Will not recommend them to anyone I know.

Agreed excellent video, the paperwork assembly manual is good but confusing at times and so, frequent referral to the video is necessary. However, just to comment that the UK supplied shed has some slight design changes including a different shelf fixings and a continuous sky light. One word of advice for anyone buying this excellent USA made (I think?) and that is to spend time and effort on constructing a perfectly level and square base as with an engineered product you cannot make modifications to any dimensions as with a wooden shed. The only real issue was the corner sections which would not bend in to a true right angle and thus had to be persuaded to fit the floor slots. This means that the dark brown corner trims will not fit, not a major problem weather wise, and probably down to the low ambient temperature in spring UK. The video is made indoors under perfect conditions and I am guessing quite warm? Oh, forgot to say, that I had to use some rope to pull the two long side walls together temporarily whilst I fixed the roof trusses in place.

Thanks for the video, it is way better than trying to decipher the instructions. I am more of a visual learner it seems. One thing that bothers me with mine is that the shelving didn't come with the brackets but instead plastic fold-able flaps at each end which are way to flimsy and don't feel as secure as a nice bracket for support.

In Step 11.3, did he screw the window into the frame so the bottom 2 panes don't have any window? Is that how it is supposed to be?
@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly 2 жыл бұрын
In step 11.3 this screw only goes through the plastic window and does not go into the shed itself. This screw acts a as a guide and stopper in the middle channel of the window panels. It allows the user to open the window without fear of pulling the window completely out of the side channels.

@LifetimeProductsAssembly
@LifetimeProductsAssembly Жыл бұрын
You don't need to necessarily need to dig up your grass to create the platform, you just need to ensure that location you chose to build and place your shed on is a flat level surface. Anchoring is essential to the shed and the build to help keep the shed in place and help protect it from the wind.

Try it as described first and when it doesn't pop in, take it off and look at the male nubs. After trying to push the corners in, the ridge on the male nubs can get deformed and widen in one direction. Use pliers to pinch it and narrow the nub ridge back into shape so that it fits in the slot before you try again

The corners were very difficult, and if you don't get it just right, the rest of the wall will be off, so that when you get to the next corner, it won't fit. How do i know this? I had to take a whole wall down and try again. It still didn't fit, so that the top of the wall was not even with the top of the corner. The poles for the door hinges would not fit into the holes in the floor, regardless of how long and how hard we beat on it with the rubber mallet. The hole was just too small for the pole! I had to buy a $80 heat gun and stretch the plastic to widen the hole. This step could have broken our marriage if I hadn't thought of the head gun. Either that, or my husband would have set the shed on fire! Just kidding. Kind of. We are currently working on the roof, and some pieces are bowed, so the screws won't even reach the plastic of the roof. We tried having a second person push down on the roof, but that wasn't enough. We'll go back to the hardware store tomorrow to buy longer, large head screws to replace the screws provided. We had the same problem with the shelf that another comment shared. The black pieces you screw into that are supposed to expand into the wall instead just spin. So the shelf is not sturdy at all. We'll probably just dispose of the shelf and use a stand alone unit. As frustrating as these issues were, the instructions and video were so much better than the instructions that come from other products. I would suggest a pause to see the part whenever the statement "oriented like this", so that you can actually see which way it needs to be oriented. We watched those parts over and over trying to capture the frame that would show which way the part went. We haven't quite completed the project. For the price, I would have expected better quality in the parts that have given us a challenge so far. The pieces should be produced accurately enough to fit. Overall, I think this shed will meet our needs.

I recently finished installing a 10x8 Lifetime shed (from Costco). It was built on a wooden base that is very strong (2"x10" treated lumber with cedar floor and a 2" overhang). Most things seem to be OK, but one of the window panels (left side looking at the doors) bulges SEVERELY in the sun and heat - I'm talking about being able to put my fist in the gap!! (I'm in Ottawa, Canada, high temparature about 32C/90F.) The other window panel seems to be only mildly affected by the sun and heat. All is level. I'm thinking of attaching a 2"x2" piece of wood on the inside of the problematic panel, but I know there are problems with that and I might have to go from outside in with oversized holes and screws with washers. Any suggestions? I called the help number, but got "cancelled" after about 15 minutes of waiting.
