Sometimes ppl were a mask because they can’t afford to get sick, and miss work like Jessica’s play she is in. People also wear masks in public packed places to not get sick, so they can still see and support family who are immune compromised because of cancer treatments etc, cause you can’t visit or help if you have a cold or other illness. Everyone’s circumstances are different and so specific to their life, and work and loved ones. Kinda over the mask shame, people wore them on the subway before covid during cold & flu season. And I wear one in public to protect me from possibly getting sick, and giving it to my family member who is healing but can’t be around any illness as still doing treatment. It’s just privileged to not get why ppl were them and pass judgement. I don’t care what people do, I just do what’s best for me and my family.
