@@guynumber3100 anything could have happened if not for their complacency about procedure, sure if they had some sense they would have not left it unattended but they can do this fatal error imagine the other things they did wrong, perhaps they didn't even wear ppe during the "experiment" or they used a more higher voltage, or the worst of it all is that they were doing this indoors which consequentially burned their house down along with them, if they can't handle this job properly or have any basic grasp on safety procedures then imagine everyone else who isn't professed in this sort of job and are simply doing it because its "trendy" people who have no idea about carpentry and value views over anything trying to do this and failing miserably, a dangerous trend like this should always have a disclaimer unless you want regular people to try this out and getting themselves killed or injured in the process because they saw your vid and thought it was cool and that it was trending one day, if you don't want to take accountability for their actions resulted from their thought process after watching your videos then a simple disclaimer and maybe a tutorial could have sufficed as to avoid such things from happening because we cannot deny that this is a dangerous job and the fact that it has become a trend is concerning and people should and must be educated no matter what

Surely anyone who does this means they are electricians as a chosen profession right? Hmmm, seems dumb to try something knowing nothing about the dangers lol. Social media clowns see something cool and then say I can do that, and instead of learning about it, they look for the quickest way to get to and end result and then get hurt. Also, this guys video is doing multiple things wrong in preserving the wood burn design? Like sanding after… you lose the detail and much more… this is very entry level stuff

@haddow777
@haddow777 Жыл бұрын
@@eric4seasons not quite. For instance, the idea that the lady who spilled coffee on herself was to blame was actually a PR campaign by McDonald's after the lawsuit to stigmatize lawsuits against companies as frivolous and only done by greedy people. If you look into it, their coffee was actually dangerously hot. Thay lady required skin grafts and was permanently disfigured. Plus, it was the jury, not her, that set the price of the lawsuit so high. In this case, there have been a tonne of KZfaq videos and websites describing this as a fun project with really cool results. They give basic instructions as to how to do it but don't provide any warnings, or inadequate warnings, and don't really tell the viewers just how much electricity is in the system. For most people, with a rudimentary education, it even a college education, they don't really understand electricity. For instance, how many people would know, if someone accidentally touched the circuit and is being burned to death by it, that if a second person tries to help them by touching them in any way, they will end up being burned to death internally too. Not a lot of people. This is more to do with reckless videos making this look cool and not providing warnings about how this is likely one of the most dangerous things one can do. The fact that so many people are sounding a warning in the comments is actually counter to the statement of darwinism in effect. The strong, or knowledgable, are trying to strengthen the weak, or those who don't know about the danger, by passing on the knowledge.

We really need to include basic electric engineering in public schools. Just enough so people have an understanding how transformers work, how voltage can be stepped up exponentially, and how none of the circuitry safety measures will trigger as there is no physical connection between the lower voltage input and the stepped up output.

Watch the video on the dangers of this from How To Cook That. This video needs to be disliked until a large disclaimer is placed at the beginning and throughout telling people not to attempt. It is extremely easy to be electrocuted doing this; one slip up, one touch is all it takes, even just the wet wood. Spread the word and save lives.

@@thehutch7728 All I have are questions, how are people getting themselves electrocuted , did they put themselves ( body part ) between the two energized points ? Now to create the source of electricity is it some alligator clamps attached to a electrical cord plugged in to a 120v wall outlet ? and what liquid do they using between the two electrodes points ? I didn't consider electrocution is a real possibility. Although electricity is very dangerous, and shouldn't be attempted by the inexperienced . But it wasn't until I read the comments that people have died. Crazy

It looks like you could use a regular car or yard tractor battery and jumper cables, attached to nails that have been drilled into wood that has been wetted with water\baking soda and applied to the wood. After the pattern has been burnt into the wood, remove the jumper cables - remove the screws and sand the wood surface and apply epoxy to the design and buff the top- smooth top , and apply finish and dry.

While the art can be pretty, making it will (not can, but will) be extremely dangerous. The set up for this will prevent your breakers from tripping, so if something bad happens.. it will not cut the power off and continue cooking whoever or whatever was caught in the way of it. If you really want to make this art, first order of business is how to make it 110% safer before you flip that switch.
