looks like you have 3 separate issues but they maybe connected 1 speedo is normally the cable or the speedo drive and a simple job to test take cable out of drive and turn it if speedo turns its the drive if not its the cable fuel ok seat out and check the wirers or take out the sensor out of the tank and test should just be the bulb take off panel and check bud they go all the time i have videos to help on me channel

Ok I think I found where the rectifier is , under the floor on frame according to a manual I found online , the part I thought was a rectifier I think is the imobiliser , also I checked the charging system with a volt meter and seems fine so don't need change anything anyway , bike running better with new battery in, am concerned the flashing light from imobiliser will drain battery a bit can I unplug the imobiliser or do need by a bypass unit , I don't have a fob and someone fitted a start button on floor to start it , cos the electric start doesnt work prob cos no fob ? anyway is all good just nit picking now lol cheers , heres the link to the manual I found online www.manualslib.com/manual/1215211/Peugeot-Speedfight-2.html?page=146 :-)

just done a video on that so check out my newest video its a few things from the wrong bulbs 55/60w they should be 35 only poor earth there's a wire under the front or next to the carb or just trace it to the main earth or stator as they get dirty or damaged and need changing / cleaning hope that helps and good to hear they help please like share and subscribe , mark

hi bud thanks for the comment, as you know I really do speedfight's but now do have a few videos on aerox's. I have to say this one I do not know and would of thought it would not work well as unlike a car with adaptors on a moped it would move the wheel out to one side and do not know how it would work out with the balance as the wheels would both be over maybe an inch from centre ! guess cornering would be a bit odd . maybe rather than a adaptor you could change the hubs from the newer one then fit the wheels??. sorry bud that's the best I can do lol hope it helps and thanks for watching . mark

+CP Reviews,, the engine has to be running for the lights to come on which makes testing them a bit hard lol brake and indicators work without the engine running..

HI BUD Ok go in to more detail of where and what you are trying to fix, do you have a volt meter as you will need one mark

I have a video on one of these on my channel under Chinese mopeds and the same sort of problem worth a look first guessing you have checked the bulb next the switches mass around so take it off like in my video and give it some WD40 this will help

most new mopeds /scooters lights all come on when the bike starts up as they run from the stator coil power and not the battery, old mopeds have a light switch but still run from the same power and not the battery they found it takes too much power from the battery and to try and start it, the only things that should work are the indicators and horn and rear brake light so as long as it runs ok and the lights work while the bike is running all is ok. does the high and low work when the engine is running and do the turn off when you turn off the bike. if so enjoy the bike bud as all is ok ] hope you had a great rest over xmas and have a happy new year mark

your moped needs power to run so if it runs ok without the light on and when you turn on your headlight is wont you have a power drain how did it run before the orange cdi ? id be looking at your stator coil as they do go and this maybe your problem

its an odd light to flash on like that but not seen a light like it, if you have check the oil levels, all bulbs are working, and it runs fine then all should be ok maybe its a service lights? , best pop into a motorbike garage just to check as you don't want it to go bang or google it? guessing you don't have a work manual ! mark

I was told that red light comes on when oil level drops..I had on like that...

hi bud, yes I have wired a few of them it no that bad lol, ok on the back you have 4 lights the two on the outside and two inner, I have always wired them that way . so to get the best lights when riding wire the two inner to the low beam as in to light wires and two right together then the same for the outer lights they are lower watt and don't do much to put them to high beam! use a block to put the wires in for a 4 block will do and have poss and neg for high and poss and neg for low/ now cut the wire on you bike after the block ( not before so you can take the bit off and connect on the table) but not too close so you can re wire them as evo lights will not pass a uk mot!!! on your bike green in earth the other two wires will be high and low beam easy now! add a wire to the earth so it has two ends and put one in each on the neg block and the low beam wire in the twin lights in the middle and the high to the twin light on the out side. .star bike all sort , hope that make sense bud but each light has two wires it don't matter really which you use as light as you don't cross the same two. use elec tape to cover wires when reconnecting them and don't let them touch!! please like share and subscribe

Haha defiantly it's a lot easier I've used your videos for a lot off step by step instructions how to do stuff lol its just frustrating me as I've never had to do any wiring before, so I'm clueless there just sat in the bike looking nice but not functional lol like you say I'll have to send the bike through its mot with the old lights on first anyway but I've looked on the Internet and I've not been able to find anything at all in relation to what I need to know it's dreadful you would think they would send a diagram or something. If there is anyway you can explain witch wire's witch on the actual bike I could maybe work out the rest my self but the wires on the headlamp are just white haha so that doesn't help at all lol

mark savage ive wired the lights up but they seem really dim, the high beam and low beam are fine the light unit is the same as your green street fight do the side lights need to work for a night time mot

Jonathan Barnes as said bud the 50cc didn’t have side lights but they are only 501 5w bulbs so not like led running lights and will pass an mot fine Mark

this video was on a speedfight so different , I do have a few other videos one on a sinnis and another on a yellow moped both show thing about the lights that may help. you will need a volt meter to find the power to the switch and then from the switch to the lights does the rear lights work and brake lights ? you may have to take the switch it's self apart like it did in the yellow moped video and spray wd40 my videos should help bud

it can be two things but easy one take out seat bucket and you will see the plug onto and the gauge, twist out and test like in my videos there are over 80 and I have covered it a few times if ok check wires under clocks

lights run from the stator coil but you indicators and brake light runs of your battery is the battery ok and fuse working , to earth this can do it so make sure it connected tight and the right way next wiring from the battery to the relay and rear light they do suffer from bad earths

its a bit of a luck game with china ,some things take 5 days and others as in my tyre video 20 days lol, should sort out your problems tho mark

stator coil bud check out my 125 ybr videos guessing your bike is a 125 as you don't mention its a bike or moped or cc

@@spacemonkeymrk1 why was that bud what was it doing before it was installed , volt regulator ? i would still say it was the stator coil as it does two jobs the timing and the power for the bike bud do a drop test on the volts from the stator as should be 14.4 and above

@@marksavage had to replace the stator due to a bad earth connection and burnt all the wiring never had the issue before only happened since having new stator fitted could it be a possibility that the wiring has a poor connection or is the stator no gd itself I bought the stator new and it is for my moped model thanks again for replying

look at the micro switch on the bars for the rear brake, can you start it with that lever pulled in! if not that's the prob, other wise earth of bulb as it has two filaments

yes standard on scooters / mopeds so you dont race off down the road lol so bud mopeds today have all day lights so you cant turn them off, some still have a light switch that's does nothing and you have to pull the brake lever either side to start the moped this is for safety once started and running you can let off the brake lever then it should come on and off like normal

hi bud if you have power coming out then you will have to trace the wires but I'd check the switch's on the handle bars as I've had this before so take it off to see if you have power to in to it and then to the connector as it may have pulled out of been cut?? fuses maybe? give them a go but it's going to be taking off the panels to follow the wiring bud, hope that help mark

your headlight will be auto on when you start the bike well on most new bikes, you need to check the connectors and loom. did it work before ok? what happened to the bike ? have you changed any thing?.mark

Everything used to work just fine except charging the battery. Out of the stator, I get 12v from the wiring. It seemed one thing went out after another. At first, the horn stopped, then the blinkers and then the running light on the rear brake bulb and now not even the brake lights, just the headlight. I am stumped and was considering just replacing the harness all together, but yet I am curious to get it figured out

is your battery ok? give it a charge or change as your indicators will run from battery when it's fully changed and does not need to be running !! if they don't then its you wiring loom !!! .mark

hi bud if they do not blink then it's the relay which is under the clocks and easy to change as for the lights ok a must is a volt meter as in my other videos, I have loads that should help bud and this videoyou will need to trace the power from start up as they only work once the bike is running. Sorted. Shows out that the one soldering the cables in the horn/indicator/highbeam switch did not know how to solder. Not sure about the English term, but in Sweden we say "cold soldering" when you haven't heated enough. The brown cable to the high/low beam switch had fallen of. Liked, subbed and shared already =)

Well, headlight ok, but indicators still wont work despite a new relay. I got a new one, not original but the place i got it from (twostroke.se) said it should work. it have same connectors as previous, and i have try to swap over the poles. Still just turns on but no blink. Any suggestions please? (sad puppy eye's)

LOL ok so you have normal bulbs in and the come on ok boths sides but not blinking ?? it has to be the relay !! as yu have power going to the relay then to the bulbs it has to be it, i've had this with led bulbs as it does not pick up the low watt's but not on normal bulbs bud , find another one bud and give that a go, mark

hi bud in many of my speedfight videos I have on here like 70 odd I do chat about the lights remember green is earth then one will be low beam and the other high but they should just plug in to connectors you can get a google diagram if that will help please like and sub mark

that's the right way to go if you cannot trace the power, and is what id do, connect a battery / just pack then check fuse and all connectors ( wd40 every thing) if still nothing use the volt meter on every part to trace where the break is , its a long and boring job but needs doing

Hey mark I finally found out what the problem was two days ago I came across a little box resembling a cdi box up near the headlight and noticed it was visibly fried, I stopped by the scooter shop yesterday got one, and changed it out, and BOOM the lights was back working

So one light low beam and the other is high beam if not working then replace but remember it's not a 55/60 watt car bud But if that's all you have it will work If I remember they are 45watt

@@marksavage when I press the low beam switch it doesn't light up, but I switch on the high beams,it lights up.

I do have a few videos on 50cc 4t and one with this problem so best give that a watch they do suffer from this so get a can of wd40 and take apart the switch gear and clean and spray up as for the bulb that will need replacing and you can get them of e bay for a few £ give me other videos a watch bud Chinese moped mark savage they should come up

Hi mark thanx for the help previously, I think engines toast but would like your opinion before I order parts. Yesterday i took it for its first test ride, slight knocking noise but went pretty well, this afternoon would rev approx 75% of its range but no pull away, Ive adjusted the carb etc with no luck and just back fires through the carb when you try to start it. Do you think it's probably crank seals/bearings and poss new piston? Got no problem doing the work just like a second opinion before I bite the bullet lol Its the bike that was supposed to be a gift for my friends husband although missed his 40th bday now lol.

dom ino if it pops through the exhaust when trying to start and won’t this could be piston that’s what I’ve found So if it start and back fires / pops through carb that fuel and need tuning or down jetting as your flooding Too much fuel is as bad as not enough lol Take carb off and check jet size Air filter ? What are you running with It could be reeds as in my videos on them Good you got it running bud

first hi bud is it a mk1 or mk2 so do you have a light switch?, if yes check switch and wiring no then check bulbs well check them any way as they do blow and often if the brake horn and indicators are working then the stator is working as long as the battery is charging take off the front panel and check wring too please like and sub and I have many more videos that will help like over 70 on spedfights mark

its the Peugeot speedfight 2 100cc there no light on the clock saying its on but if put 2 wire from battery to light the light works wll wires look.fine all over electric work gust both lights brake lights works

William Brooker what bike is it on? However as in most it's electric either the speedo drive or the clocks , you could check the cable to see if it's cut anywhere , mark

it is a Chinese bike it's called pulse ghost and it has a digital display

hi bud thanks for watching , ok wiring hell I think bud you will need a volt meter, I would take off all the panels to start with the volts can be ok but not the amps so i'd get a new battery and re-earth the bike from the frame to the battery and re-feed the green wirer to front and back, then you can volt test the lights once a new earth has been made fuel gauge you can take it out easy to test as it just twists out which should be easy as you have all the panels off lol, when just turn on and slide it up and down but sure it's the earth problem it's a little bit of work but sure it will sort out your problems once re-earthed please like share and sub and keep watching with over 60 speedfight videos mark

the left blinker when it turns on, I turn to the off key, only the lights go out, I have to turn off the blinker and that's when the machine can be turned off, many cables tied, I'm thinking about acquiring a new full harness on ebay but only I see speedfight 2 50 and mine is speedfight 2 100, will there be any problem for the sf2 50 harness to work for sf2 100? hi speedfight 2 50 and 100cc are the same bud so all ok just make the connector blocks are the same as some early one were different and you don't want to have to cut all the wires lol mark

Hi Mark, Thanks. Yes everything works except the dash. It is hard to find it second hand. So you don't think it is in the wires or maybe earth? I was also looking for the wire diagram but couldn't find it.

@@jeroenpost169 im saying it is in the wiring lol Panels all off and start tracing wires and battery and earths I've had this and it was the ignition!!! Water had got in and rusted the copper connectors Cleaned and wd40 and all good If you do take it apart be careful with the springs and wires lol But worth a look bud

hi and thanks for watching ok yes a new ignition will sort the lights out as when you turn it it has to be in the right place for the power to go to the right places and you might be moving it too far or so getting a new ignition will sort that rear brake light you may have to check the micro switches on the levers if when you replace the ignition fuel leak , sounds like it could be the float or just a leak from the bowl , best take that off and sort like in my videos mark

wow that's a a long way to go to get nothing so agree no good, buy a volt meter and try and trace the power as you may have a fault some where id take all panels off and trace everything and make sure its all working ok as that's all you can do , or make up a forum and please help lol

I decided to re watch my 7 year old video , this being 1 of 100 free speedfight informational videos . To be fair it's a guy in a shed explaining the problem, a bit shaky hand held phone video but not bad with the basics of the problem. I'm sure you can sort it with just watching it again but ! I do have other videos where I go over it again so maybe try one of them bud

so you got the rear brake light working , it can be the bulb but the work from the micro brake switches on the handle bars and covered this in my videos

The main lights come from the stator coil Check power output And all connectors and fuse Battery is ok as you have horn ect

They use 35w 35w and not car bulbs 55w 60w When you get the right bulbs and it's still dim give me a shout

@@marksavage I have a aprilla sonic 50cc 2001 LC and I noticed the head light bulb being very dim even when giving revs not sure if it's a battery issue or the bulb needs replacing

@@Josh-ed6ll ah you did say what moped !! Ok Check earths on the bulb and to the battery Make sure you battery Is good and holds charge Cant hurt changing bulb If all ok Then it may be your stator coil Could need a clean or replacement

My battery had a short, and before the short the lights on the speedo etc would come on when the keys turned, but now they only come on when started, I don’t have any lights while the engines off. The lights get brighter as the bikes revved

green on speedfights is earth !! I have a few videos on wiring and the front head light . they should help as theres over 50 on sp2's give them a look bud but there should be white ,yellow and green to the lights but as said my other videos will help give them a watch. mark

kyle brailsford ok are you saying the front brake is sticking ?if so take it off clean and service it all should be ok , as for head light if it' has no patten you will need to buy another . Both easy to do, I do have videos on both to help , hope that helps please like and share .mark

I have done front break now byt the back break is sticking and wont tighten up any more but the break shoes are nearly new

so you have taken the rear wheel off then take of the pads clean and wd40 both sides and the spring part take off the lever as if you are saying the shoes are like new then this should sort it ,remember to clean the inside of the wheel.
