Before. Malcolm’s father & mother were Garveynites. They persecuted and murdered his great great grandfather too. That would be Malcolm X’s father and his mother equally genius was placed in a mental asylum.

Let's not forget Bro. Malcolm X's biological father was murdered on the local railroad tracks and his mom who was from Grenada was denied her benefits and guardianship of Bro. Malcolm X when he was a youth. Which led to him and his siblings becoming wards of the state. It's not a curse it's the design of the western hemisphere.🤺 The Movie Malcolm X

NOT like grandfather. That kid set his grandmother on fire. I remember when it happened in NY. Now they are saying he started a fire in the apartment. He was murdered over a dispute over money owed involving women/drinking, etc in a Mexico bar. A sick and troubled person, yes. But not the man his grandfather was. Malcolm X deserves better.

@@Stribzavision Malcolm's "dark past" was his days as a hustler in which as a black man it was the only way he could achieve success in a racist society. Malcolm engaged in crime not so much because he was a deviant or a bad person, but it was because it was the only he could make it. But there's a world of difference between that and killing your own grandmother. The latter was an act of evil, so when this young man met the ill-fate he did in that Mexican brothel, he just reaped what he sowed or as his grandfather once said, "It was a case of the chickens coming home to roost."

This is total bullshit and to try to strike a parallel between Malcolm X and his grandson is pejorative. First, they downplay the fact that he killed his own grandmother by setting a fire to her apartment, an act he should have never been forgiven for, IMO. Second, to say that his death was an "assassination" is beyond absurd. In contrast to his grandfather, he had no social/political impact at all, so it's highly unlikely that anyone would perceive him as a threat. He was killed at a Mexican brothel after he couldn't foot a bill for "services rendered." Given his atrocious crime of murdering his grandmother, I would call it poetic justice or as his grandfather had once said, "a case of the chickens coming home to roost." RIH (rot in Hell)

Malcom X is considered one of the most influential African American in history... to other African Americans. The reason everyone else remembers MLK and not Malcom X is simply because of his narrow focus. Combined with his earlier antics, he would have never been able to pull off what MLK did because he had no credibility outside the AA community, which in turn made it easy for the Establishment to marginalize him as it did the Black Panthers. Tbh, in the backdrop of the Cold War, advocating an armed domestic uprising is ludicrous and irresponsible, even if justified. It's the same naivete that I seem among the "gun nuts" today.
@freemanwalking1867
@freemanwalking1867 9 жыл бұрын
John Doe The reason why people/the white American state remember MLK, is because the white oppressors needed to embrace the social concessions of the less threatening incarnation of the black liberation movement. There would be no mainstream MLK today without the more radical threat to white dominance that was Malcolm X!

The reason why Malcolm x was assassinated is because he changed his strategy from demanding the federal government to enforce the us constitution when it came to basic common rights into advocating in the united nations that america should be enforced to respect the human rights of all minorities in the usa and after he garnered the backing of the african union and many muslim countries the state department found his activities too damaging to white america and saw that he will eventually succeed if he was left alone majority of black revolutionaries have been killed , malcolm was the most rational and realistic one out of all of them , even MLK agreed that his tactics were useless and that integration at the mercy of white america will never come and that he needed to concentrate on economical and educational emancipation

John Doe, didn't read it all, but I think one thing is that MLK is considered Jordan and Malcolm is a Shaq type figure. What I mean is that Jordan figures are quoted like MLK, but Shaq brute symbolizes resistance....so, since White people quote the man they shot he is respected....(oh, oh, oh), here is another revelation....MLK was considered more important b/c he was shot by a white man? I use shows, sign and symbols.... just disregard what you may not understand...thanks
